What a wonderful story and a wonderful time for you and your son....he must feel that his chosen line of work is really fullfilling. If he can take it without saying, "oh...mom... ." let him know how highly we think of his conscientious treatment of those in his care, and his quick thinking. BTW it sounds like he picked up on your caring nature and desire to help others. Terry

Lori,
You have every right to be proud of your son. It's so good to hear about people in this world who are alert and caring (and remain calm during it all).
All I can say is, you've done a lot as a mother to build into him the best character traits that all parents want for their child (children). Congratulations to your son also for getting into such a highly recognized and respected hospital. Sounds like a good match for the hospital and for your son. He certainly fits the bill!

Thanks so much, FF. Don't want to take the credit, though. He has always been a remarkable kid. I little bit of a PITA at times, but what kids aren't. He never surprised me with how he's handled things, but this one really got to me.

What also got to me is the reaction I got to this post. You guys are totally the best. You have no idea how much I appreciate the beautiful sentiments that have been posted in response to my story. Makes me so glad to be a part of this forum.
