1st international travel with CPAP on Thursday

Post by SheZAAM! » Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:06 pm

I'm going to Paris on Thursday for 8 days. I'm flying coach class on Air France on the way out, Delta on the way back, so I'm assuming there will be no place to plug in my CPAP machine. I've traveled domestically several times since being on my CPAP machine over a year. I even have a carry-on bag on wheels that holds all my CPAP stuff, plus a laminated medical tag & Rx. bottle for distilled water. My M.O. before CPAP was to take an Ambien (10mg.) after the plane takes off, one the first night there and one the first night back to help with jet lag. Is there anything else I need to know or do? I've traveled to Paris before, but not since CPAP.

Thanks in advance!

I have never been in Europe, but I think you should need a 220 adapter or at least a prong adapter if your machine can handle 110-220V.

Thanks. That part is all handled because I'm staying in an apartment that's completely "americanized". Every plug has an adaptor.
