Re: I WANT A LIFE
As someone who works in a chronic pain clinic, that is a LOT of sedating medications. Ask your doctor about Suboxone. It's expensive, so many docs don't use it, but it works better, lasts longer and isn't as sedating as most narcotics.

Why do numbers go up when pressure does?
Ok...so when I had my sleep study and got my machine, I was told to set it at 9.0. After a few weeks of sleeping the night through, I was getting tired again, so I borrowed an APAP which went to 9.8 one night and 10.1 on the 2nd night, so the DME told me to set my CPAP for 10.0. Fast forward a few m...

Re: Full time RVer--CPAP newbie--what to expect??
Hey there! I was a full time RV'er for 22 mos from Oct. '05-April '07! But I didn't get my CPAP until just 2 mos. ago. I was actually first diagnosed before we went on the road, but blew it off until the effects got to be unbearable. Anyway, the setup is small enough that it should fit on the little...

Re: Caffeine and Sleep-Apnea
Glad to hear things are going better. They are for me too. I'm not caffeine free either, but I've cut WAY down from pre-CPAP. I also got a data-capable machine on Craigslist, brand new for $200. My leaks are regularly at 0.00 My AI and HI's are under 1.5 and AHI's are 0.00. I'm still not "zesty" in ...

Kenny.....
Take a deep breath and relax. You're putting too much thought into this.
Chill.

Less than helpful responses
OK.....*rant on* I've seen enough of these type of responses that I need to say something.... When someone is struggling with OSA and/or xPAPing, it is NOT helpful to say, "Get your life insurance paid up" "Prepare a will" "Let your family know that you'll be dead soon, so get your affairs in order"...

Re: why am I still tired??
I'm still tired too, but less so than before I started. I posted the same thing about still being tired and was told the same thing about having a "debt" to pay back.

Re: Caffeine and Sleep-Apnea
Did you do it? Are you still caffeine free?
I've cut down on mine, but I'm still tired, but much less so.

Re: First set of numbers with loaner machine
I made sure the menu for mask said "Swift". Interesting that the machine said pressure of 9.6. My HMO originally said to set it to 9, then when I said I was still tired, they told me to try 10. But I tried 10 a few weeks ago and blew up like a balloon, so I'll keep it at 9.6 once I return the loaner...

First set of numbers with loaner machine
I checked my numbers this morning after using my loaner (ResMed S8 Vantage) machine last night:
Pressure: 9.6
Leak: 0.00L/s
AHI: 0.9
AI: 0.1
HI: 0.8
Used 9 hours
Loaner machine has 2297 hours.
If I'm not mistaken, that's pretty good, right?
