After 90-day Compliance Period is done?
Does Medicare require any future follow-ups after the 90 day checkup for compliance? I just remembered I have a 6 month appt with my sleep center coming up. If I am getting good results, and have no problems, would it be ok to just cancel? Is there any further need to ever go back, to get Medicare c...

Re: US/Chinese CPAP Supplies?
I have read alot on these CPAP boards to avoid Resvent since it was a Chinese machine. Glad to now know I should not have concerns.Respirator99 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 8:17 pmTo put things in perspective - the Philips Respironics machines that were full of cancer foam were made in the USA.
I think you're worrying about nothing.

US/Chinese CPAP Supplies?
So I was given a ResVent iBreeze 20A as my first machine 2 months ago by my DME. Being on fixed income, not much, I decided to take it and let Medicare cover it. I recently saw that the iBreeze was given EUA due to supply chain issues. I worry about anything health related made in China, but the EUA...

Re: Mask Merry-Go-Round
If you have mouth leaks...mouth breather....you are spinning your wheels by continuing to try nasal masks without taping. Its tape or full face mask. I am not a mouth breather. But during the night, after my CPAP ramps up to 11, air is forced out past my closed lips. Since the N30i and Dreamwear na...

Mask Merry-Go-Round
I am wondering, what is the "guess" of the average number of different type masks cpap users try during their first year or two, before they find the "right one"? I got started 5 weeks ago with a Resmed N30i nasal, then tried the Dreamwear nasal cushion, then back to the N30i, and am now trying my w...

Re: Using Wife's CPAP?
Use it but do NOT delete it, that will likely screw up her compliance. If it turns out it helps you better have your doc write another script specifying the make and model of the cpap you want - NO Substitutions allowed. The Resvent just isn't very popular and doesn't work with Oscar. You will be u...

Using Wife's CPAP?
My wife got a ResMed Airsense 11 a few days after I got a Resvent iBreeze 20A. We have same sleep doctor but got sent to different DME's, and mine told me they could only acquire Resvents. Maybe doc sent her to DME they knew could get her a better machine since she has severe OSA and I have moderate...

Re: Medicare
Medicare only requires a yearly letter from your doctor, indicating that you regularly use cpap, and you benefit from it. No additional sleep test is needed unless your DOCTOR orders it. (If regular cpap is insufficient, and you may need to upgrade to an advanced machine.) The supplier is full of c...
