Re: Comfortgel Nasal Mask Users
I haven't used one long enough to replace the flap. Because of the deductible requirements, I just buy my stuff from cpap.com, cpapauction.com, or ebay. With the ComfortGel, the cushion came with the flap. I would suggest 6 months as a replacement schedule unless you find the flap and cushion stop p...

A tip for nose bridge irritation
Hey Folks, Well, I've come full circle. I started off with a ComfortGel nasal mask. After a month, the irritation at the bridge of my nose just didn't subside. So MaskQuest 2009 began. Oh man, I went through a ton of masks. I've had the greatest success with the Swift LT, UMFF, and SoftGel. With the...

That's great that you're doing this. For my part, I'm looking forward to ordering your nose bridge protector.

Re: Trying out my new Swift FX for the first time tonight!
Dear Friends, OMG - I have finally found my PERFECT mask! I think that the air must be distributed slightly differently with the Swift FX as compared to the Swift LT for her. I had no trouble breathing in or breathing out. I have a leak rate of 0.14 this morning, but included in that was when I was...

Re: Lanisoh Lanolin
Have any of you tried putting some of this just on the bridge of the nose. Not so much for seal but for irritation control?

Re: Post your favorite mask
I've tried many masks: ComfortGel Swift LT Quattro Micro Activa LT Liberty Hybrid Ultra Mirage FF Activa SoftGel Unfortunately, I've had problems with all of them. Recently, the Swift LT has stopped preventing apneas. I've returned to the SoftGel and am coping with the daily irritation at the bridge...

Re: APNEA ONLY WHEN ON BACK
My sleep study showed that my apnea was entirely positional. Unfortunately, I'm most comfortable on back. Sleeping on my side is good but I don't think I can do it all night. The tennis ball strategy does not work for me. I'll still be able to sleep on my back. So CPAP it is...

Re: Protection of Bridge of Nose - New Product
I got one as well. I tried it with the Mirage SoftGel but the seal gave after an hour. I'm gonna try it with some other masks that I have to see if it works any better.

Re: I just can't get the hang of it
Getting the right mask and learning how to fit it are big challenges in getting going with CPAP. It may be that the Mirage Micro is not the right one for you. I would suggest going to the cpap.com website and entering your measurements to which masks might be a good fit. Buying through cpapauction.c...

Re: Full Face Fiasco
If the only problem with the Activa is mouth leaking, it seems you'd be better off controlling that than fighting with a full face mask. Many people here, myself included, use paper tape or blue painters tape over our mouths to seal from leaks. You may want to consider giving it a try.

The results you're getting are pretty good. I think that getting the major leaks under control should be a priority. Is there a particular reason you're going with a FFM?

PapCap plus Micropore tape. I put chapstick on my lips (and just beyond) to protect from the tape.

Re: noisy face mask
I wonder if that's from condensation inside the mask. If it is, you may want to turn down the humidifier a little.
