For you. At least acknowledge that others have different experiences.

Re: Leaking Mirage Liberty

I tie a shoelace around my head to stabilize the nasal pillows. I have (though not recently) used the Lansinoh cream also to improve the seal. I also use a buckwheat hull pillow so that I can mold a little gulley so that the pillow is not touching my mask at all and pushing it out of place. Are you ...

svh, I'm with you. Apneas around 0.5 and yet lots of wakeups for unknown reasons and insomnia that I can normally trace to stress.

I got the regular because the XL wasn't available yet. I'm wishing I had it now but don't really have the funds. I'm doing just fine with the regular, but I have to reshape it every time I turn over. Possibly with the XL I wouldn't have to do that, but I'm not sure.

Re: newbie! help with mirage liberty full face! please

Just another thought...your pillow (for your head) is important in terms of shifting or not shifting the mask around. I got the regenesis buckwheat pillow so I can mold it in a way that it doesn't interfere at all with my mask. I sleep on my side.

Re: newbie! help with mirage liberty full face! please

I tried a stretchy headband and it was too tight. Probably cause my head is so big. Probably cause I have so many brains stuff in there.

I totally forgot about the Lansinoh. I used it some but haven't used it in a long long time.

Good luck! Keep playing until something works.

Re: Survey On How folks adapted to therapy

I voted was easier than expected, which is NOT to say that it wasn't challenging at first. But after a few weeks of lots of education (here) and adjustments, all was well and remains so.

Re: newbie! help with mirage liberty full face! please

Chad, I've been successfully using the Liberty for more than a year now. My pillows would leak as well if I did not tie a shoelace around my head and in front of the pillows, thus pulling them in tighter. Not sure if that makes any sense. But it works for me. Others use the "tights fix". You could d...

Re: what a waste of an afternoon (apt update)

Sorry you wasted your afternoon. It didn't take me long after I started reading this chat board to know that there's very little my doctor will help me with that I get help here for easier, cheaper and quicker. These people on this board are the real experts. So unless I'm having some real MEDICAL i...

Re: question for parents

My kids didn't need to know anymore than that the machine/mask meant I didn't snore anymore!

I've tried to ban sleepovers at our house (hate them anyway) saying I'm embarrassed by the machine, but I'm too much of a softie to make that stick.

Re: Melatonin question??

I don't use Melatonin personally but have given it to my kids to help them fall asleep. My understanding is that melatonin really doesn't help you stay asleep, just to fall asleep.

Re: Help! Can no longer get health insurance due to CPAP?!??!

I have coverage at work and when I changed jobs, I was careful to buy the Cobra coverage and remain with the same carrier to eliminate consideration of pre-existing conditions. But I remember the moment I realized (reading on this forum) that my OSA would make me ineligible for health insurance. Tot...
