Amandalee I have read your post from time to time and you are always saying even with CPAP you feel tired during the day. Could your diet be effecting how you feel and sleep? It was for me and I would like to share my story with you. I have been on CPAP for about 6 months. While I experienced some i...

Adding diet and exercise to my sleep therapy

Been on CPAP for about 4 months. Have seen results but not happy with where I am. For some time I have been thinking that I have only been treating one component of my problem. Can all the junk food and lack of exercise factor into how I sleep at night and how I feel each day? Today I started a diet...

Funny Question

Just purchased a velcro chin strap and a new mask. I left the chin strap instructions in my office. Getting ready for bed soon. Question: Which goes on first, chin strap or mask?

REMEMBER THIS: "When you take them for better or worse, it is usually for worse." My famous uncle, who owned several beer joints in Tennessee, told me this when I was a young child.

Doctors office calls me on Sunday morning

Last week I received a strange phone call on Sunday morning. It was from the Doctor's office. The nurse wanted to set me with an appointment to see the sleep doc. I am 45 years old and have never received a phone call from any doctor's office on Sunday. I told the nurse I would have to get back with...

My sleep doctor keeps calling me back for another follow up visit. I will not answer the phone or call him back. The last time I went in for a follow up visit, he simply asked me how I was doing. I told him I had seen some improvement but would like to see more. Doctor said come back in three months...

I am sorry and yet glad to hear I am not alone on this issue. Are any of you taking steps to over come the mood swings, anger, etc? If so what are you doing that may help us who suffer from sometimes out of control mood swings. I am also interested to know if there are people out there who have a sl...

Angry, grumpy, agitated, and irritable

These words describe my life most of the time. I am tired of hurting my family, friends, and co-workers. I am tired of feeling out of control. I have struggled with these issues for years. I know these symptoms are from a lack of sleep because when I have a very good night of sleep, I am a very nice...

All the hotels or motels I have stayed in are heated and cooled with electricity. This is the reason there was no detectors in the rooms.

Rooster It is not the caffeine. I use to drink pepsi or coke every meal and sometimes in between. Since using 5 Hour Energy, I have lost all cravings for soft drinks and sugar goodies. Strange, but this is what is happening. Could it be I am low on B vitamins? I am also wonder if a lot of us who hav...

Adjusting pressure on CPAP

I just downloaded an instruction sheet on how to change pressure settings to my REMstar Auto M series with A-Flex. If my machine is an automatic adjusting machine, why should there be any reason to adjust the pressure? Does my machine automatically adjust to what pressure I need, or does it simple a...
