The fan in my GoodKnight 420G all of the sudden began making a lot of noise. It is no longer useable.
I have taken the unit apart and have taken the fan apart. There is a magnetic "ring" magnet on the plastic shaft of the fan that is loose and turns freely. Perhaps it shouldn't be that way.
If I had a replacement fan, it would be very easy to change. Does anyone have advice on how the unit can be repaired or whether a replacement fan is available for purchase?
Thank you so much.

I do not believe that any medical equipment supplier sells parts to the public. Most do their own servicing.
Too much liability involved.

Great!
I did attempt to epoxy the fan bearing into its housing, but that failed.
So would it be true to say that the only place that will repair the GoodKnight 420G is Puritan Bennett?
It would be so simple to fix if I could just get hold of a fan assembly.
Thanks,
Frank

I had the same issue, but used a drop of superglue. Seems to work fine now.

I've heard (but don't know this for a fact) that when a machine with a problem is sent back to them by the provider, PB will replace it with a new machine rather than bother with trying to repair it. You might want to check that out. If that's so, you might get a brandnew machine with no hassle.

On the underside of the impeller there are 2 bearings. The larger diameter one on mine slides up and down on the shaft. Is this the one someone superglued? If so, did ou glue it in the up or down position?
