Swift FX replace pillows?

I just moved from a Swift LT to an FX. With the LT, I'd have to replace the pillows every 2 months to get a good seal. My usual cleaning routine is once/week on the mask with warm water and baby shampoo.

How long are the FX pillows generally lasting before you consider replacing yours?

Re: Help - how to program my new Remstar?

I was also given a Swift FX mask. I wore it last night, and really liked it. I've been on the Swift LT for probably 5 years now, and the new one seems to be a nice improvement. I stopped being lazy, and found a site that claims to have the instructions I need. I'll try that. Any other tips or advice...

Help - how to program my new Remstar?

Went to the VA yesterday, and they gave me a Remstar Auto A Flex System One. My prescription going back to '09 was for 5-9 APAP. After spending time here and buying s/w, I determined that I slept best on straight CPAP 9.0. I made the change myself on my old system. The VA provider would only set the...

Re: Battery back up for my Remstar M Series

The weak point is the Walmart battery. I might go for a better looking $100 option: I can't disagree, but like you said, it's a bit of a coin flip on which one will last longer. For $20 less and convenience, I'll stick with the Wmart battery for now. The Wmart batt is rated pretty well, but time wi...

Battery back up for my Remstar M Series

Procrastinated long enough...finally putting together a back up system. My goals are to have it for the (very) rare power outage, and to take it camping. My son is in Scouts, so we may do 1-2 trips that last 1-2 nights. Please let me know if I'm thinking wrong on any of this, or missing any pieces. ...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

On the hose for 5 years now. I'm 46, and in good shape/health. The "success" part him home this past Sunday morn. I took my son on a one night camping trip, and decided to go hose-free. No big deal, right? I forgot how bad it could be. I remember waking at least 5 times, and I was a zombie the next ...

Re: Battery for M Series?

At $300, however, there are other alternatives. If weight is not an issue (home use or "car camping") that would cover a quality 100 Amp Hour deep cycle AGM battery plus a battery charger, with change left over. Rethinking this now, and looking at other threads. I'm in good shape, and a cheapskate ...

Re: Battery for M Series?

Thanks for the link. I'll probably go with JohnO's unless someone chimes in with something negative on it.

Battery for M Series?

I've decided to buy a battery back-up for my Resp M Series for the rare camping trip + power outages. Since these are roughly the same price, any reason to pick one or the other? I've looked through the do it yourself battery solutions, but I think I'd prefer to just buy one of these kits. I general...

Re: Need Veteran Opinion: Just Increased Pressure from 13 to 15

Is your machine on "auto" or a fixed pressure? If its on auto, download the data and see what it shows. If your at 9 99% of the time, that means something different than it ramping up to 15 and staying there. The scary thing is the machine may know more about what is best for you than the doctor do...

Re: Need feedback on my sleep reports

Pugs - thanks again. Overall, yes, I think my results are decent/good...just trying to fine tune a bit. I went with tape a few years ago b/c I kept waking with a dry mouth + my leaks were all over the place. Chinstrap helped a bit, and then taping made a big diff. I'll try the no tape experiment as ...

Re: Need feedback on my sleep reports

Thanks again. I pulled it off sometime last night, and don't even remember doing it. I guess this won't be easy, but I'll keep at it until I breask this habit.

Re: Need feedback on my sleep reports

Flikr appears to be back up now.

I'll try to keep the mask on. I got into that habit b/c I found that I could just about never get back to sleep after waking.

I posted a good night, and a not-as-good night. I guess my main thing is that I'd like to sleep longer, if possible. My eqpt is...
