Re: ResScan software or reader not working
I have been really frustrated by the interaction between ResScan 3.7 and the card reader. In looking for a sure way to get it to work every time I found the following steps seem to always be successful: First plug the card reader in to your favorite USB port and wait for the success chime Then start...

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
All right folks I crossed my threshold about 2 minutes ago. From my perspective it is ...\* definitely */... time to take this off these forums. I took the liberty of setting up a Yahoo Group Wide Awake Programmers . If you are interested and can code (note you must indicate your cpaptalk user name ...

Re: Autoset II data retention.
The machine keeps a year's worth of data internally unless you do something to erase the data. The card is just a way to get a copy of the blower's data into your computer. I believe it keeps a years worth of summary data but only a few days of detailed data and I think that depends on the machine....

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
Do you think that we should form an email list to work on this as an open source project? Absolutely! If you dig far enough back into the topic history deciding on a code repository/SCC and a listserv were really the next two steps. I haven't been in big hurry to push this because we keep picking u...

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
I don't know enough about using a web service to form an opinion but if it is a viable option I don't see any reason not to consider it. Everything trades off at some point and in my mind as long as the overall effort is not increased all is good. In thinking about the concept of upload the file dow...

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
OK so... redirecting... For the present I don't believe any features should be considered out of the realm of possibility. A large initial list makes the requirements set for version 1 robust and mutually supportive. BlueHairBob, I am going to push back concerning your stance on OSes. Were I to purc...

I was shooting at the 93% use casejdm2857 wrote:SQL Server and .NET restrict the software to Windows. There are Mac and Linux users we should consider, especially since the xPAP manufacturers don't.
Maybe Java?
But very good point... OS agnostic would be highly desirable.

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
I've not seen it, but I know that there is a user-created OSA data analysis program written for Encore Pro users. And Encore Pro uses a MicroSoft SQL Server database. Since an SQL database makes further analysis easier, maybe we should try to convert other brands of data to Encore's format. And I'l...

Re: Resmed Resscan File Format
Did some poking around last night. In the detailed file (the one of interest) there appear to be 30 sections delineated by "SX480-0101;AUTOSET_II" in my case and I am wondering if that tag changes based on machine. Of those 30 delineations 11 are preceded by the tag "META" with some number of bytes ...
