Re: Is CPAP a risk for upper resp "infections"
I'm a new user, just a monh, but my experience has been interesting. In australia it is now spring, the hayfever season. normally at this timeof year i'm sneezing, rubbing itchy ears, using 3 handkerchiefs every day because of the allergies. Since I started CPAP therapy my nose has cleared up, the i...

Re: Mask Input Requested Please
I'm very new (not yet 4 weeks) so I have limited experience, but I thought I'd share it anyway. I'm using an Opus 360 nasal pillows mask. Although at first I hated it, along with everything else associated with CPAP, I'm pretty much happy with it now. Occasionally I get a slight irritation in my nos...

Re: new user
Thanks Brenda I must say that since the first few nights, when I thought I'd made a huge mistake, I'm feeling quite encouraged. i'm off to see the doctor in the morning, so I'll run out the graphs and ask her what she thinks. (at this stage i have utmost confidence in her judgement, and hoping that ...

Re: new user
Hi Brenda Pantyhose to the rescue! Great leak data - none. Woke up again certain that the machine was off, which of course it wasn't. Feeling a bit better too. AHI was 7.5, which is a little better but not as good as my 4's earlier in the week. Better put the pantyhose back before I get caught. Prob...

Re: new user
thanks for that. I'm just about to climb into bed, fire up the wind generator, strap on the nose inflator and try again. I'll see what I can find to fashion a chinstrap. perhaps some of my wife's pantyhose (better not tell her)
I'll let you know
cheers

Re: Apnoea disappear after football???
I can concur with this. I play hockey one night a week, run around like a rabid dog for an hour, get hot, sweaty and exhausted, have a cold beer with the rest of the team, then go home and sleep like a baby. I often thought perhaps I'd play every night, but I'm 53, and my knees couldn't hack it keep...

Re: new user
Here I am again. Had a setback last night. Still low leakage, but I felt that I was probably leaking though my mouth a bit. Not a good nights sleep at all, and AHI of 9.0. It was a hot night, about 25deg C. sp perhaps thats the issue
Just when I thought I had it nailed!
I'll try again tonight

I'm a new user, and very green. I was diagnosed a few weeks ago; hired a machine and set out on this journey about 3 weeks ago. I'd like to share my experiences; perhaps someone would like to comment. I purchased an Opus 360 nasal pillows mask, primarily because I thought I'd like the fact that it i...
