I picked the screen name first then the avatar that goes with it.
I recognize people by their avatars and get rattled when they change them.
It just doesn't "look" like them anymore.

Re: Rescan 3.10
I have ResScan 3.7 and the card reader (and the USB link).
It's wonderful software but I am off the hose now.
Send me a PM. I will let it go for cheap.

Re: ResScan 3.11
Hi All, ResMed will not sell ResScan software to patients. I tried and ended up doing an end-run through Australia. However, I am now CPAP free and have ResScan 3.7 software and the card reader available. Since I know the hoops I went through to get it I don't want to see it gathering dust on my she...

Re: Respectfully, who runs this board?
Just my observations: It is great to see the replies generated by the original post. The replies give an accurate picture of who we are. Whether the original post was a troll or a genuine concern doesn't matter. I have successfully transitioned from the CPAP to a dental device. But I have not posted...

Re: New Resmes software questions
Dream-Warriors, There is some fantastic information on how to read the Resmed reports on this site. Rather than try to repeat it all here you can use the search function and see some informative threads. One thing I found with the ResScan software using the card reader is that you only get three day...

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?
I have been using my machine for six months and have never cleaned the tank. I alway use distilled water and empty it out every morning. If it ever gets dirty I suppose a vinegar rinse is what I would use. My DME sent me a new humidifier tank at three months (still unused). I have since told them on...

Oral Appliance: Just had a Sleep Study
I have been on CPAP for about 6 months. My AHI was 23.1 with a titrated pressure of 8. Once getting settled into the routine of living with the machine I went from CPAP to APAP on my ResMed machine. I have the ResScan software which showed my median pressure was 5.6. All this time I had an oral appl...

Re: ResScan 3.7 & Vista 64 bit
Welcome Geezer Guy, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I have Vista 64 and ResScan 3.7. I tried every way possible to install the USB cable and could not get it to work. When I looked into the files for the drivers it didn't say anything about Vista. I gave in and got the card reader. It installed ...

Re: OT: Dirty Secrets of the Food Processing Industry
I have worked in a food processing plant. Sanitation is a very important part of the business. Just from a greedy dollars and cents perspective it makes sense. A couple contaminated batches, an FDA recall, and nobody buys your product. All of this is not secret either. You can read citations from th...

Re: Telling youg children why you have a cpap
I explained the CPAP to my two grandaughtes, ages 2 and 5. We talked about snoring and had fun making some snoring noises. Then I showed them what I had to help me stop snoring. We made a few elephant jokes and it was all a non-issue.

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
Welcome khemicals, I have the same rig you do. One diference is that I don't put the hose over my head. I don't like the hose in front of my face. Since I like to sleep with my hand over my head I run the hose under the covers next to me. It also helps prevent rainouts. A hose cover makes it more co...

Re: Sniff Test
I took the suggestion and did a Google search on "Sniff Test".
Very interesting. I never knew it was a medical procedure.
I use a sniff test when I clean out my refrigerator.

Re: Distilled water or not?
I use distilled water at home. Tap water when travelling on business. No problems. My humidifier is as sparkling as it was on day one.
Use the tap water. Don't loose sleep over it
