Re: I would like advice on my pressure. HI 3.9? Software needed?

when i had a my first and only sleep study done in Nov 2008 i studied up here quite a bit before i went in and i have learned lots on here since being diagnosed. i thought i was the best idea at the time to request a split night study which my doctor was hesitant about, but went ahead with it. they...

Re: Sleep doc says APAP not medically necessary

irregardless of you getting a prescription for an APAP, Its highly unlikely that your insurance would pay for your APAP retrospectfully (not sure of spelling). I say this because it was your decision to purchase the apap. Your insurance would rightfully ask why you did not attempt to use your insur...

Re: Clinical Setup Menu on breas isleep 20

I have no idea. I suggest you just try holding the function button down (first button on the left) until something happens. If that button alone does not work, try holding it down again in combination with one of the other three buttons (try one other at a time. Someone may have a clinical manual an...

Re: Redmed AutoSet II Clinical Guide

Thanks GuyK. That is a pretty neat way to get the guide. My DME did not give me the Clinical Guide but he did show me how to see daily results and how to access the Clinical Menu so I could make adjustments as I thought best for me. My sleep doctor agrees that I should be able to access the Clinical...

Re: getting rescan software

I believe the Vantage is an older model. I'd fight for the S8 AutoSet II APAP. The S8 Vantage has a sound level of 31 dBA and the S8 AutoSet II has a sound level of 24 dBA if noise matters to you. A newer design is not always a better design but I believe the Vantage is a discontinued model so I exp...

Re: getting rescan software

This is just my thought but it seems you are a long way off from needing a card reader and ResScan software for the S8 AutoSet II. When you get the machine you may see a great improvement (or not) and may decide you do not have to spend the money on the card reader. I thought you were going somewhe...

Re: Which full face mask to use? Mouthpiece from dentist?

If you want a full face mask just get one and try it. Each person is different and what works for some does not work for others. My full face mask that works when I use it is the ZZZ mask. Simple, easy to clean and does not cause any irriatation on my face or nose. If you purchase at CPAP.com you ca...

Re: Sores from mask

I was actually surprised that it left marks on my face as I felt it was not tight at all. I have played with the straps every night (aside from last night) trying to get it as loose as possible, but without leaks. Since my pressure is so low, do you still think little leaks are OK? I kind of though...

Re: Sores from mask

I am a new CPAP user. I have been using the machine for just about a week now. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but now I am convinced that the mask is causing sores on my face. Last night was the first night I was able to sleep the entire night with it on my face. Previous to that I h...

Re: Question about Leakage Compensation

According to ResMed: "How do our AutoSet devices measure up? ■Our AutoSet devices actually find the pressure that the user needs. Other machines may require you to preprogram a pressure range in which the machine will operate. If a person needs more or less pressure than specified in the range, the ...

Re: S8 autoset II data recovery and Vista

Sorry I can't help. I uses the data card reader and ResScan 3.7 on a Windows XP computer and both work great. The only issue I have is my data card does not seem to be able to record data more than maybe 5 times and then I need a new one because I get an error message on the used one. Luckily, my DM...
