Months since I cleaned my mask?
I have the comfort gel mask and am still fairly new to Cpap therapy. I have been reading and it dawned on me that perhaps I should be cleaning my mask? I've had the current mask for about 4 months and only once wiped it down with a sani-wipe. I was thinking to start using lysol wipes once per week?

How to stop leaks into eyes?
I use a comfort gel nasal mask. No matter how I adjust the head strap, there always seems to be a small amount of air escaping right into my eyes, where the bridge of my nose meets my eyes. IE in the corner. As a cause of this, each day my eyes are super puffy and I do not feel entirely rested. Is t...

Lung Problems, other questions, please help.
Hi all! Need some help here with some questions. I've been on cpap therapy for about 5 months now. I use a pressure of 8.0 with a Cflex of 2. I use a nasal only mask. Here is my problem and can anyone tell me if it is normal. I notice my lungs and chest area are still sore each morning. Not so much ...

Re: What just 2.5 hours without my cpap did to me this morning
Oh thank you for posting this! I haven't seen many people discussing their symptoms that match my own. The last few days have been just horrible. I've thought about how nice it would be to be dead. This is just like a hangover. And the bad part is, I don't drink any more. And I really miss it. But ...

What just 2.5 hours without my cpap did to me this morning
I should have just drank a liter of vodka, as I would have felt the same as I do now. I have been getting 4-5 hours per night of sleep with my mask. Usually sleeping a good 4 hours straight, then wake up, toss and turn slightly driting in and out of sleep, then getting up to start my day. Despite on...

Re: Xanax (for Panic Attacks) + CPAP
Here's my plan: If I feel a panic attack coming, I'll first try my CBT and breathing exercises. If that fails... Try them again. If that fails... Take one half of a 0.5 mg Xanax. Since being on CPAP therapy, this was my first real panic attack since February 15, 2009. Hopefully, they'll get fewer a...

Re: Xanax (for Panic Attacks) + CPAP
I have used xanax for about 10 years now, without addiction or dependency issues at all. Want to know how? I only use it when needed and then, only the minimal amount needed to take off the "edge." I find that even just a small piece of a .5 mg tablet is often all I need to give me just enough calm ...

10 days in a few questions and my observation
Observations: 1. There really is something to this cpap therapy. It works and I feel better then I have in years, BUT, I still can't help think that it could be better. 2. I found out my wife had fantasies about Darth Vador. Yes, we did the wild thing and my mask was on the whole time. After we were...

Re: Software and reader for Remstar pro 2 With cflex
Hey wulfman, Thanks again! I'm going to place an order for this bundle tomorrow. Do they not make the Remstar pro 2 anymore? Is it a dated machine? I just got mine and was told it was only two weeks old, by a user who could not adapt. I wonder if I was lied too? I paid $300 for the unit. Seems to w...

Re: Software and reader for Remstar pro 2 With cflex
I'm new to all this still. I use a Remstar pro 2 with cflex it has a card in the side. I would like to know what software and card reader to get? Also, what info would this really provide? Is it well worth it? Here's a link to the Encore Viewer software and reader package. https://www.cpap.com/prod...

cpap use during thunderstorm
we always here we should stay away from electrical appliances during close thunder storms. Well, what about using your cpap? We have a huge thunderstorm here tonight. Any chance a strike could travel up the cpap machine through the mask and fry me?

Help Issues
After night 6, I think I will take a break. No cpap tonight. Having severe shortness of breath feeling, anxiety and soreness in my chest. I read here that many attribute this to the idea of "deep breathing" during sleep. I think this is a myth, as we breathe the same when we are awake with no obstru...

Day #5, Anxiety, will it fade?
Last night I was on Cpap for 7 hours. Got some good sleep. However, during the day, I felt kind of wierd, like short of breath and some anxiety. I read this is normal. It seems to come and go thoughout the day. Will it fade away? Did you experience it? And why does this happen? It seems to be common...

Re: How Much Did Your Sleep Study Cost?
Yeah, well, if your sleep disorder is NOT OSA, or if you have additional sleep disorders in conjunction w/OSA ..... there IS a place for a full in-lab PSG. And the in-lab sleep accomodations, equipment to do a proper PSG, salary for a GOOD RPSGT to conduct that PSG and also to score it is a pretty ...
