Re: Not sleeping thru the night
I agree that restarting the bedtime routine can reset the ability to fall asleep. Any time I'm stubborn and just keep laying there. any shallow dozing I achieve is not satisfactory. Do you end up napping to make up that extra time? Your move didn't happen to involve time zones did it? Hadn't though...

Re: Not sleeping thru the night
When I'm not getting back to sleep, I generally get up and read. If I do anything on the computer, the light from the screen has a tendency to keep me awake. I do better if I read, and I always have books around (see my avatar). I try that as well. When I've gotten around 6 hours I just start the c...

I take a 1mg one every nite and have for years. More than that seems to mess with my head. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Re: Not sleeping thru the night
I'm retired so I don't really have a schedule. I agree that just laying there "trying" to go back to sleep doesn't work.

Not sleeping thru the night
For about the last month or so I have been waking up early (between 4:00 and 6:00am). Mind takes off and I can't get back to sleep. Usually try for about 30 minutes to get back to sleep and then give up and get up. We recently moved and there has been some stress over that, but I'm afraid this is be...

Thanks.
I didn't do that the first time and what ever drivers are there I did install. Any ideas how to get rid of them?

ResScan problem
Tried to load ResScan on a buddies computer and got this message when I opened it the first time.
"unable to detect device communications library"
Anybody got any ideas what might be going on here?
Thanks

Re: Resmed Sullivan V - any good?
I gave one of those away several years ago. That being said, it was one of the best machines (durable wise) I've ever owned. These new machines are pretty poor in that respect.

Re: CPAP ASV Keeps me awake
foam ear plugs will help with the noise. A mask liner from Padacheeks will help seal the mask so it works better. I use both and sleep like a baby with my ASV

Re: anybody know anything about diabetes?
Both of those posts are right, have valuable info and important questions. How much metformin? What OTHER drugs? Diet IS a factor in controlling T2 Diabetes. It isn't the only thing, by far. Another thing to check: Testosterone levels (both of them) and Thyroid levels. If he's eating lots of flour ...

Re: CPAP Use After Septoplasty
Thanks both of you. JeffH, do you still use your CPAP after the septoplasty? Of course. Septoplasty doesn't cure OSA, it just helps you breath better. It does in about 40% of the patients according to my ENT sleep specialist, and a ENT plsatics I saw. Better get a new doctor. OSA is a problem with ...
