Re: Getting new machine: A-flex or Autoset?
A couple of things I can tell you about my experience with the Remstar Auto M-Series with A-flex. Number one, it is so quiet I can't even hear it run when it is on. The blue lights are kind of an annoyance, but easily fixed with a sock over it. Not a big deal. I have absolutely no problem with the p...

Re: Bad move switching to Apria?
I've been pretty happy with Apria so far. I did have to INSIST on the machine and mask I wanted, but I got it when I did. I have very good insurance, but unfortunately I HAVE to go through Apria. My insurance will ONLY deal with them. Just make sure you insist on what you want. In the end YOU are th...

Re: DO NOT BUY FROM CPAP.COM
Krystal3001, I agree with the other posts above, you should have read the information on the order page BEFORE you ordered. I, for one, would not like to get a used mask from CPAP.com if I had paid for and ordered a new one. What do you think they do with this now "used" mask from you know that you ...

Re: A-Flex anomaly
That very well could be that you have a problem with your machine and others might too. It is a great little machine, but I would definitely talk to Respironics about it or your DME supplier and get them to exchange it or repair it. Mine doesn't do that at all on any setting I have used. I've used t...

Re: Help! My 1st rainout was a soaker!
I know what you mean. I started to notice a huge difference with-in a few weeks of starting CPAP. I had some trouble adjusting to the machine and the rain-out issues and still do, but I've never been one to give up easy. This is for MY health and I had to figure out a way to make it work. This forum...

Re: Help! My 1st rainout was a soaker!
I'll give you my input if it helps any. What helped me was making sure the hose went up as high as possible from the machine and then came back down to my mask. This lets any condensation that does start to form run back to the machine instead of to the mask. Helped in my case anyway. Just give your...

Re: Sinus infections with CPAP machine Help!
Okay, so this might be a stupid question, as I haven't had these problems, but if ACV helps to cure your sinus infection, would it help to add some of it to the humidifier? Wouldn't think it would hurt anything as the water and humidifer are on the output side of the machine and won't hurt the machi...

Re: A-Flex anomaly
I have been using the A-flex since I started on CPAP on Thanksgiving of this last year. I have tried C-flex and to me, it felt totally unnatural and was hard to breathe with it. I have tried switching back and forth several times and always end up back with the A-flex at 2. Just works the best for m...

Re: Hybrid, Liberty and Zzz-Mask Comparison Post
Okay, since you are all talking about the Zzz mask, I just have a question about the headgear. Does it go over the ears(on top of) as the pictures on cpap.com seem to indicate? I can't stand any straps against or over the ears, so this would be my only problem with this mask. I'm looking to get a go...

Re: Magnap Product Survey: Help us help you sleep better
I agree, question #2 isn't applicable to me either. The only real problem I've had and still have with CPAP is gas and bloating(aerophagia). That is not even mentioned in this extrememly short survey. This survey isn't really looking for an answer to whether or not people are happy or unhappy with C...

Re: New guy,, been on CPAP for a few nights
Well, I don't have any expereince with the mask you have. I have the Swift LT which is a nasal pillow mask and is a lot lighter and more comfortable than the looks of the one you have. Nothing on the forehead and nothing on the top of the nose. It works great for me, but I'm not a mouth breather. Yo...

Re: Anyone ever take Armodafinil?
Armodafinil is Nuvigil. The 'NEW' version of Provigil that Cephalon came up with to avoid having a generic equivalent to Provigil come out so they could line their pockets with even more money from us.

Re: corruption behind Provigil, medicaid issues, and an update.
Wow, that is very interesting. Before I started on my CPAP treatment, my doctor prescribed Provigil for me to help with the fatigue. I have very good insurance and prescriptions are normally pretty cheap. A 30 day supply of Provigil STILL cost me $75.00!! That's ridiculous! These drug companies need...

Re: getting a CPAP machine, any advice?
I've got the M-Series Auto machine with A-flex and absolutely LOVE it. It is quiet, works perfectly, and with the A-flex seems to perfectly anticipate my breathing and is about as natural as you can get in my opinion. I haven't tried any other machines though. Make sure you get the humidifier with i...

Re: Simpler Sleep Apnea Treatment Seems Effective, Affordable
Don't even get me started on this one. My sleep studies already consisted of only a poorly trained technician monitering me for two separate visits. The first time, the technician I had told me in the morning when I woke up that I didn't need a CPAP machine as I didn't have very bad apnea. My follow...
