Re: DreamStation - Connect to oxygen?

SoClean CPAP Adapter for Respironics DreamStation Use it to connect O2 to Dreamstation. Have a heated hose? Problem solved. Again, that's the "SoClean CPAP Adapter & Diffuser for Respironics DreamStation and System One". Pick it up on Amazon for $20. Cheers! You are using this to hook to oxygen wit...

Re: DreamStation - Connect to oxygen?

Thanks for the suggestion GettingBetter. I'd thought of that too. Just seems like more to "fuss with" when using a CPAP is already enough - as I know from using one for 13 years. I did contact Philips and they confirmed: "Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, when using the heated hose, the on...

Re: DreamStation - Connect to oxygen?

Thanks all for the responses. I know that I can connect my oxygen into the mask. I can also use my old adapter to connect it below the mask. As some of you noted, however, it means I'd have to somehow tie the oxygen line next to the hose to keep them from tangling up! I'm betting Respironics hasn't ...

DreamStation - Connect to oxygen?

Picked up a Dreamstation today. Unfortunately (stupid on my part), I didn't think to ask DME how to connect in oxygen with the heated hose. It will be Monday before I can talk to him again. So, can you connect oxygen to Dreamstation without having to connect it where your mask connect or is that the...

Re: Coughing a lot

Higher humidity has helped me as well. Also saline nasal lavage helped too. Along with that my doctor gave me an RX for a cough med that helped as well.

Re: Respironics Encore Viewer on Windows 7

I have an e-mail from the company from back about a year ago when I got a new 64 bit computer with Windows 7. They told me Ecore would not work with 64 bit but they were "working on it." A few months ago I e-mailed again and was told that they could work with me "online" and they would let me downlo...

Re: Somewhat OT: I'm leaving to get my Atrial Fibrillation fixed

Yes, this is why the docs don't want someone staying in AFib for any longer than necessary. The heart sort of "re-programs" itself if the irregular heart beat stays for long enough. It won't do this while you're in normal sinus rhythm. The problem is, as you know, once AFib strikes, it tends to str...

Re: Somewhat OT: I'm leaving to get my Atrial Fibrillation fixed

In my case, my symptoms are very obvious. I get extremely short-of-breath and fatigued. A walk from my couch to the kitchen literally makes me feel as though I just ran a mile. When I start feeling this way, I check my pulse. I can tell for sure at that point by the irregularity of my heart beat. S...

Re: Somewhat OT: I'm leaving to get my Atrial Fibrillation fixed

I was just Dx'd w/A Fib late August. The cardiologist first suggested Coumadin, of course, but also Rythmol. I wasn't real keen on the Rythmol. I've only had 8 episodes in 7 months that I'm aware of and only one lasted more than 2 hours. And not all that much more than 2 hours at that. So we are tr...

Re: Somewhat OT: I'm leaving to get my Atrial Fibrillation fixed

Tony, I've not been on here for sometime so just saw your post about Atrial Fibrillation. I was diagnosed with it end of July (after a visit to emergency room and being put in hospital). I've been on CPAP for 6 years. Looking back I've probably had A-fib for some time but it only became more frequen...

Re: Where to Get Encore Pro Software?

Sleep rider - can you give me the step by step guidance? Do I go to your first link and down load the file? Do I need another program or anything to run the file and install Encore Pro? Appreciate any directions and guidance you can give.

Thanks

Yes, it will work with the 32 bit version but not the 64 bit unless you have Windows 7 Professional.

Re: Encore Viewer & Windows 7 64 bit?

Hawthorne - Guess I'll have to think on the 32 bit vs 64 bit. There are some advantages and disadvantages to either one. Right now looks like either change to 32 bit or pay for the upgrade.

By the way - like the cats picture. Looks like my two cats!

Thanks

I recently upgraded to a new computer running Windows 7, 64 bit. I installed Encore Viewer software and it worked. Now, when I go in to open the software I get an error message and the program will not open! Any one able to use Encore Viewer with Windows 7 64 bit? Appreciate any help. Thanks John
