Re: Time to order a new mask should I try nasal pillows?

I'm a side sleeper too and absolutely LOVE my Swift LT. Almost always completey zero leak rate and very comfortable, light, and easy to put on and use. Adjustment is about as easy as you can get and does NOT have to be tight at all to work right. Works much better and is much more comfortable kept l...

Re: COPD & Dirty CPAP Machine in Hospital

That doesn't surprise me. That's why I brought my own machine, mask, and hoses for my recent week long stay in the hospital. That, and the fact that I'm used to and comfortable with my own machine and mask. Didn't need ANOTHER stress on top of already being in the hospital. I highly recommend ANYBOD...

Lowest AHI so far!!!

Just downloaded my data from last night and my total AHI was 0.1!!!!! That's the lowest is been since I've started!! My leak rate was about as low as you can get too at 25.94 and was pretty much flatlined all the way across with the exception of about the last hour, and it only went up a tiny bit th...

Re: CPAP Induced Aerophagia Causes Elevated Blood Glucose Levels

Maybe I'm way off base, but I can only speak from my own expereince. My aerophagia ranges from annoying to really bad every day from the CPAP no matter what I try it seems. I end up taking a lot of Gas-x or anything else that is effective in getting rid of the gas and indigestion.(Tums, Rolaids, etc...

Re: Problems installing Smart Card Control Utility

I really appreciate it too Babette I have just never been able to get THAT file utility program to work on my computer. Everything else worked great though and I can get all the info off the card perfectly every time with Pro. Just would like to be able to reformat the new card I got from Apria usin...

Humidifier problems

Okay, so this may be a stupid quiestion, but I've searched and haven't been able to find the answer. Maybe there's another solution I'm not thinking about. When I sleep, I have to sleep with the room fairly cool. I usually keep it around 65 degrees. Even with the humidifier on the lowest setting I s...

Re: Problems installing Smart Card Control Utility

You all crack me up I needed a good laugh after my last two weeks! To answer the question though, it is the Data Utility file program by Phil(Smart Card Control) that will not work. I've downloaded it straight from the link you provided, but with no luck. Gives the same error message every time I tr...

Re: Problems installing Smart Card Control Utility

Yep, Encore Pro is working just great as is the brand new card and reader. The program won't even start up, just gives me the error message. I've tried removing and re-installing the program several times with no luck. Installation goes just fine. Just won't open when you try to start the program.

Problems installing Smart Card Control Utility

Okay so I have installed, removed, and tried re-installing this utility several times on my computer. It installs just fine, but every time I try to run it, it gives me the error message "SmartCardControl had encountered a problem and needs to close.. We are sorry for inconvenience." I have Windows ...

Re: SEVERE SLEEP APNEA?

Not only that, but in my case, I had a partially collapsed lung for three days after surgery and had to keep the extremely painful drain tubes in two days longer than normal. The good pulmonolgist they finally got down there once they finally agreed that I HAD to be on CPAP, said that the CPAP proba...

SEVERE SLEEP APNEA?

Okay, haven't been able to be on here in a while. Went in for my open heart surgery. All went well, and I am slowly recovering. It will be SLOW. Wanted to pass on a few things I learned about my sleep apnea while I was in the hospital. A few days after my surgery, I asked them about setting up my CP...

To make you laugh.....Made me laugh anyway :)

Okay, so this is not CPAP related, but I had to laugh. I just went to Costco tonight to buy a few things and ended up getting a big box of the fire logs. You know, the easy light, long burn firewood? So I'm taking the individually wrapped logs out of the box and right there on the bottom of the log ...

Re: Natural cures first?

I think you are all forgetting one definite cure for OSA. My doctor pointed it out when I asked him what the best option was aside from CPAP. He said that there is one surgery that will cure OSA. A trachiotomy. He said that will definitely cure it, lol. He was trying to point out that CPAP isn't tha...

Another Swift LT trade(have LG & SM)

I did take them out to look at them, but never actually used them as the meduim came installed on the mask and it has fit me and worked perfectly. Might as well see if somebody else can...

Re: My Simple Solution

What do you use to hang your hose? Did you mount a swivel hook to the wall, or did you purchase some type of a hose holder? I may be over simplistic in my approach, but I simply took a smaller nail (like one you would use to hang a picture) and put it up several feet above my head. I then took a go...
