First Impressions of the Fisher & Paykel Forma FF
Well, I went last week and ordered the new Fisher & Paykel Forma FF mask. It is suposed to be the "NEW" version of the Flexi-fit 432 according to my DME anyway. At the DME it seemed to be the most comfortable of all the masks I tried on. Of course that was with no pressure and no headgear. They have...

Re: How and what I can read from my smartcard
Okay, my machine is the Auto M-Series with A-flex and the model number is 510M on the bottom of the machine itself. I'm not sure what the non-AUTO version model numbers are. Hopefully someone that has a the straight CPAP version of this machine will chime in with the model number. I PM'd you this in...

Re: This is my big chance. Which machine?
I had the same script, and I had the doctor change it to an APAP. My doctor was more than willing to change it once I explained to him why I wanted it and he knew that I was educated. Your doctor might be the same way. It doesn't hurt to try. I am VERY glad that I insisted on my M-Series with A-flex...

Re: Should I fight to get an APAP rather than CPAP?
I would DEFINITELY fight for the AUTO machine. I had to for mine with both my sleep doc and Apria. Both wanted to give me just a straight CPAP machine. I didn't ask them, I TOLD them what I wanted. It's YOUR money and YOUR life at stake here so you have the right to get what you want. Just insist on...

Re: unsupportive family
Just to let your mom know, I'm 35 years old, 6'1" tall and weigh in at 180 lbs soaking wet. Not what I consider overweight at all(and never have been), but I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Since I've been on the machine I noticed a HUGE difference in as little as a few weeks time. Sleep anpn...

Re: Full face mask?
Looks like you have the same machine I have. Great little machine. I've been using the Swift LT, but am going to try the new Fisher & Paykel Forma FFM here when I get it in next week. Your machine will work with almost any type of mask and there is nothing to change or reset on the machine itself. J...

Re: A-Flex vs C-Flex
There are probably literally HUNDREDS of posts on here with that same question. Just do a search for it and you'll find the different threads. My M-Series has both and I've tried both and most definitely like the A-flex better. Seems MUCH more natural to me. You'll find that MANY people on here don'...

Fisher & Paykel Forma FF mask(formerly flexifit 432)
Anybody have experience with this mask? I just ordered it through my DME(Apria). I needed to get a FF mask and it seemed to be the most comfortable. According to the RT, it is the re-designed version of the flexifit 432 and JUST came out. He said it is more comfortable and has some seal improvements...

Re: My Reader won't read . . .
I don't know anything about EncoreViewer, as I have Encore Pro. Are you getting an error message when you try to access the card through Encore? What message is it? I wouldn't pay much attention to the light on the card reader. It stays red on mine all the time unless I'm actually downloading datat ...

Re: finally met my sleep doc today
Congratulations. I'm glad you are going to get what you wanted. I had to fight for what I wanted with my DME, but I did get it too. Make sure you are just as tenacious with your treatment Trust me, it can be a challenge, but it's your life on the line.

Re: I'm starting to live but
Well, I'm no expert by any means. Hopefully some more expereinced users will chime in here too. It's hard to tell if you should change any of your settings without any data. Does the PLUS machine you have give you any on-screen information, like AHI, leak rate, or anything else? I have the M series ...

Re: Getting new machine: A-flex or Autoset?
My machine only has ONE power cord. Yes, you do have to unplug it and hold the buttons in while restarting to get into the menu, but that's the clinician menu and is only needed if you are changing a setting. Not a big deal. The normal menu is available anytime by just pressing the arrow key. The sm...

Re: Stupid Hose...
I just use a simple nail in the wall above the headboard and a shoestring around the nail and the hose back to my head. Seems to help with rain-out and makes it easier to move around at night. If you don't want to put a hole in the wall, use the 3M hooks that are removeable. They make them in all di...
