So I am now on my 2nd week of cpap. I feel like 100x better then before treatment. My husband is finally getting used to me not snoring. The first week he kept waking me up asking if I was ok since I was so quiet ). According the the display screen on my machine my #'s have been fairly good low leek rates and ahi between .4 and 1.3. I got rid of the rain in my nose by using a fleece snuggly (thank you Joy) and the few tender spots on the end of my nostrals are going away. The only issue I have been having and only the last 2 nights is that I have been waking up in the middle of the night with my mask on my nose and not in it like it should be. I think I am waking up right as it happens since my leakrate hasnt changed much highest has been 33.4 but most nights its about 32. Any suggestions to keep my mask where is should be?
Thank you,
Angela

Re: 2nd week cpap use
There are a lot of people that have issues with mask placement. Some folks move around more than they think while they sleep. I know, I always kid my wife. She is a very quiet person -- until she drifts off -- then the kung fu fight begins!
Most folks have tried several things (which I've gathered by reading the board for about a year now). Some have success with a pillow designed for the mask. It leaves room so that you can turn your head sideways and not push off the mask. Others use a different type of mask. I know in my own case, I use a Quatro full-face mask, as I need it to halt the issues with mouth breathing. You might want to consider a chin strap addition as well. I'm thinking of one of those myself, just to anchor the up and down motion and to assist with keeping my mouth closed, as I'm not in for all the taping business.
Mostly, don't freak out -- experiment -- and read these forums. Lots to learn here!
