Re: What's wrong with my CPAP?
I got that message on my Remstar Pro after 12,712 hours and could not see any issues by sight when I took it apart. It is hard to know if it is the part mentioned or the motor board at issue. My motor was not locked in a physical sense is all I know. I used my spare for a few days and found a used o...

Re: Do chinstraps work? FF mask? Nasal pillow/mouth?
Yes the chin strap worked great which let me stop using the humidifier so I did not have that mess to deal with any more.

Re: Heart Attacks Increase After Daylight Savings
After get the oximeter and seeing what happens to my pulse rate when it goes off I am going to stop using one.
it is like an old engine if you put an extra load on it it may blow.

Re: Machine busted in the middle of the night!
Apparently the problem is with the humidifier. I separated the CPAP machine from the humidifier and it works fine. Once I link it to the humidifier it turns on and then turns off. Charles That is good and makes sense about the getting hot. Actually when I got my chin strap and got it well adjusted ...

Re: Stupid machine noise
WOW I am sorry things seem hard for you. The noise puts me to sleep and after I quit washing my equipment to death the leaks were very manageable. I treated myself because of the time and cost and using the machine was a matter of life and death I felt so I was thankful I was able to find a nice new...

Re: Machine busted in the middle of the night!
My Remstar Pro with 12,712 hours did the motor lock message at 4 am about a month ago forcing me to dig a spare out of the basement and program it so I could sleep the rest of the night. Being sick does not kill cpap machines after 4.5 years of experience. They like all electronics die sooner or lat...

Re: Mask Cleaning Causing Breathing Problems?
How often do you wash your mask? I find too much cleaning causes more leak problems for me.

Re: Does ResScan Software show centrals?
If a oximeter shows no desaturation events all night does it meant there were no centrals that night. Can centrals occur with no negative effect on one's ability to breath normal or are they clearly a problem that will result in a drop in saturation level? Centrals I take it is a problem due to brai...

Re: do I use my CPAP when I have a cold??
Only if the cold cures your sleep apena. Seriously that is when I need it even more. A CPAP machine sucks in fresh air from the room so it does not get your germs in it that way. Washing the mask more would be in order. I have never had a medical condition so far when I could not use my CPAP in 4.5 ...

Re: No more price control Respironics
That is good news. There is some movement on the hearing aid side of things its seems but nothing in print. Obama had a meeting about acts that makes medical care more expensive than it should be. Price fixing may get the boot.

Re: O2 Meter ?
I was doing a search on Oximeters here and last year there was a post about this meter and different places to buy it. There were a few people having an issue with Echostore. There were some post about buying it from other places and it seems that getting it from this place is: 1. less expensive $1...

Re: Odd eye problem
I'd have it looked at by an optometrist or opthalmologist. I had a similar problem, which turned out to be a corneal erosion due to dry eyes. It's an age thing, a climate thing, and sometimes a CPAP thing. There are fixes, but it depends on what the doc finds. Shari This is great advice. A leak can...
