Squealing/Squeakign rotating connectors on Activa/Quattro

Post by NeurosurgeryNP » Wed Feb 11, 2009 11:03 am

Anyone had issues withn the rotating connectors squealing/squeaking on the Activa/Quattro when rotated? I don't want to put any petroleum based lubricants on them so I don't breathe them in. Any ideas?

cooking spray or veg oil

there was a mask I had problems with - sprayed it with cooking spray (generic pam) and then washed it off with really hot water - no problem afterward

I had the same problem with my quattro, but since I used teflon tape to stop the leaks, it also stopped the squeaking. You might try that. It's cheap and you can take it off if you don't like it without damaging your mask.

Thanks for idea for the squeaking Quattro mask. Mine has been doing it for months so now I will try one of these ideas to see if it helps. Blessings, Melinda

No squeaks or leaks for me either with Teflon tape! Easy fix.

I MUST stay off my back to reduce OSA & snoring. I use a small backpack of solid styrofoam to keep me on my side (tennis balls too small), & use DIY customized soft foam pillow to keep my head in a side sleeping position to eliminate most OSA.

THanks! I am not sure about the teflon taoe - the squesking is coming from the snap connector that ortates, and I don't know how I would get teflon tape on there. I will definitely try the veg oil - good idea. THanks!

Vegetable oil worked well for me.

Did the veg oil work? You can get the elbow out of there, but it can be a trick sometimes. I had teflon tape on mine but took it off because it didn't seem to clear the expired air out fast enough with it on there. Mine doesn't squeak anymore, not sure why.

Yes, the oil worked. I have an OptiLife but it did squeak and I got a little of the oil in between the two pieces of plastic and rotated it around to stop the squeaks. The squeaks never returned.

I hear squeeling and squeaking every night, but I believe its coming from Angelina and not the machine.
