Re: What did ResMed CEO mean about the future of machine data?

UGH! Made in Singapore now instead of Australia??? They jack the price up for a Singapore made product??? The three Resmeds I've had were all produced in Oz. Guess I'd better treasure this Aussie built S8 VPAP Auto!!!

Re: What did ResMed CEO mean about the future of machine data?

THIMK, folks, THIMK. Do any of you REALLY believe that the DME providers will bother to keep up on our data to try to help us??? NOT UNLESS they are gonna be paid extra for it. And I don't see that happening since it is assumed that that is their job now (and for no extra pay). And how many DOCTORS ...

Re: Letter to Resmed.

Doctors are only human. Like most of us they tend to prefer what they know and are used to. If "I", a lay person, can understand and easily grasp the Resmed ResScan data print outs, a doctor who couldn't would scare me! And as someone who has had experience w/both ResScan AND EncorePro, the two prof...

Re: Parathyroid?

I was on 100,000 IU vitamin E a week, then eventually 50,000 IU a week, now 50,000 IU every other Friday. Vitamin D blood draw every 6 months.

Re: Parathyroid?

I had DRAMATIC results w/Forteo over a 2 year period. So much so that we opted for a 3rd year of Forteo, still have some improvement but so minimal we decided it was not worth the expense to my insurances to go a 4th year. Whilst I still DEXA'd w/in high risk range, still I GAINED 10 years worth of ...

Re: Subsequent Sleep Study

There are those sleep specialists who advise NOT using your CPAP at night for one or two weeks prior to a new sleep study for those who have been successfully using CPAP for many years. The theory is that there is some residual apnea relief w/o PAP for some time after ceasing to use the PAP which co...

OT: Deadliest School Massacre In American History

The deadliest school massacre in American history occurred 80 years ago in my own state of Michigan. In a small town less than an hour from where I live. Bath, Michigan. The deadliest school-related massacre in American history happened in 1927, at an elementary school in Bath, Mich. A school board ...

Re: What is the most extravagant thing you bought for Cpap use

I bought a backup auto bi-level PAP. I had a problem w/my first CPAP and my DME provider "loaned" me a different brand CPAP - but no humidifier. I dumped that DME provider and bought an auto PAP (w/humidifier) as a backup and for travel so that I was never put in that position again. My current DME ...

Re: OT: Tragic Shooting.

If I remember the news report right the California teachers union pension fund has like $60 million invested w/Cerebus and the union has "threatened" to pull their funds and invest elsewhere. Certainly an incentive for Cerebus to sell off that Bushmaster manufacturer, Freedom Groups.

Re: OT: Tragic Shooting.

This hardly fits the image reported in American media. From the Belfast (Ireland)Telegraph: 17 Dec 12 "The mother of Sandy Hook gunman Adam Lanza who slaughtered 20 US schoolchildren and seven adults was a gun-hoarding survivalist who was stockpiling weapons in preparation for an economic collapse, ...
