A little better night

Post by hope2sleep » Mon Jan 05, 2009 9:12 am

Hello,

I think last night (my 3rd night) went a little better. I don't remember feeling as though I woke up as many times as the first two nights. Satruday night, there was some moisture in the face mask in the morning, and I kept feeling like there was water on my face. Sunday night, I turned the humidifier setting from 3 to 2 and didn't feel like there was a water problem last night. There did seem to be some times when I felt and heard air leaking around my mask. That seemed to happen when I was on my back. Mostly I sleep on my sides, so maybe it will work out ok.

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words and help on my previous posts. I truly appreciate it.

Take care

I see you're in Houston. I'm about 90 miles west of you and I know I have to keep my humidifier setting fairly low due to the high humidity in my area. I know in Houston, your humidity is even higher! I also think it may make a difference if we keep our houses closed and constantly run either the heat or the air (would probably need a higher setting on the humidifier) - or we turn off the heat AND air on days when neither is needed. I know in the winter, we have many days where the temp is fairly comfortable without the heat or air and I even like to open the windows when the whether permits. I have to set my humidifier lower on those days to prevent water in my mask. Just something to take into consideration.
