Warranty help!?!?

Post by cb28210 » Fri Dec 05, 2008 11:35 am

I purchased a Mirage Liberty mask from CPAPAuction.com October 18th and it broke last night. The plastic 'hinge' that holds the upper headgear strap snapped off rendering the mask useless. I love this mask - switched from the Mirage Quattro....

Can anybody help me get a warranty replacement? I have no insurance and so it is important to do this under the 2 year warranty from ResMed.

OR... does anyone have a large size frame laying around not being used that they would like to part with REAL cheap.

Thanks,
Darrin

Masks obtained from "real" DME's have 90 days not 2 years. CPAP machines tend to have 2 years.

Masks purchased from who know whom at cpapauction probably don't have any days - part of the buyer beware you never know who the seller is at cpapacution.

I would contact the seller of the mask and ask them but they might be able to help.

See if there's a part in this link that would be a replacement.

I'm not familiar with that mask, so I can't speak from experience.

If it's not a replaceable part, maybe something like Krazy Glue or some types of hot glue might work to fasten it back on.

I seriously doubt that there would be any "warranty" on items bought through sellers on CPAPAUCTION.COM.

cpap.com does sell the parts - assume you need the frame - be sure to order the right size

Thanks for the links to CPAP.com. They do have the replacement piece, but I can't afford the $60 price. I could get a whole new mask from CPAPAuction .com for less than that.... As long as the new one doesn't break too.

I need a frame, part #61338. Anybody have one cheap?

Thanks,
Darrin
