Nasal Pillow pain

Post by Zoot » Sun Dec 21, 2008 6:21 am

OK I remember Snoredog commenting on some lotion or salve he put on the nostrils when using a nasal pillow. The inside rim of my nostrils get severely irritated after about 4-5 hours.
Madness take its toll, please have exact change.

The best thing I've used is Ayr Gel. You can get it in most drug stores and even some supermarkets. It comes in a small tube that seems to last a very long time. Just smear some around and into the nares. Some here use Lansinoh but I find it doesn't work as well as the Ayr for me. In a pinch I have even used chapstick, and it worked just fine.

Ayer gel is really the best. Second in line is anything made with Lanoline.
You might also check if the humidity in your location is getting low with winter...you might have to bring up the humidifier a bit.
