Where do peole get it? Do you buy it or have a machine to make it like this one? http://www.smartstill.com/
Here in the UK distilled water is expensive to buy.

I get mine at the local grocer.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

make it yourself - your humidifier and hose are a simple still, so think about the principles behind this. Just a kettle and a chilled hose are all you need. How do you chill the hose? In London in December - take it outside.

Get mine at the grocery store, too, for less than $1 for a gallon. I've looked at this distller though, considered it.

It is fairly inexpensive here, less than $1.00 / gallon. However, with hubby and I both on CPAP by the end of next month (he goes for titration, probably on the 8th) and based on my average usage just this week, we will probably go through about two gallons a month. At 24 gallons / year, the machine would pay for itself in less than 4 years. I just might consider the machine or finding a way to distill my own. (We DO live in the south...<grin>...should be able to find someone with experince in building a still)

You better hurry because they are all dying out. The following generations have foregone the still for growing marijuana.

I have been using Volvic bottled water in my humidifier for the last 5 years.
It has the lowest mineral content of any bottled water sold in Europe. It works well in coffee makers and irons too.
If you allow the humidifier to run dry, there's a very slight limescale residue on the heater plate. That's easily removed by soaking in vinegar when needed.
Note that Resmed now indicate that tap water can be used in their humidifiers if cleaned with vinegar regularly.

I have the exact same water distiller as in that link. I've had it for about 6 years and it works great. It takes about 5 hours to distill a gallon of water. You have to clean out the tank periodically because if you have hard water, a lot of calcium deposits will be left behind.

Not in this county....a fair number are keeping grandaddy's line of business open. My understanding is there is no shortage of "eye wash" in this area.

600 watts is a lot of energy. Don't know if it would be a wash vs. buying store bought or not.

Normal tap water or sofetened tap water like I use but that sill limes the humidifier tank.

That's good to know, I have a resmed humidifier etc. My hot water is softened through an industrial strength exchanger but it still limes up the tank. I'll give the white vinegar a go, do you dilute it or used it neat?
