Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
Argh, ( FYI - that's pirate speak )
How many had to deal with this? ResScan Version 3.5 Software not working on the new computer?

Re: Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
How about a few more details, like old OS, new OS?
What is the software doing or not doing?

Oh sorry,
I know the 3.5 software is not compatible because of the upgrade.
I just wont install.
The new computer is a Pentium Quad CPU running Vista.
But after dumping all the cash into getting the computer up and running.
Just a little frustrating, that now I've got buy new Software all over again.

Re: Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
Vista has issues with some software & is known to break it & 3.5 has been discussed before. I think you need to go to 3.7 of ResScan to get it working on Vista. If you have 3.5, I would expect such an upgrade to be a freebie. Call Resmed & ask them. Gotta be worth a try.Dennisla wrote:jdm2857 wrote:How about a few more details, like old OS, new OS?

Re: Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
Did you try a full uninstall and a clean install? My 3.5 plays well with Vista.

Did you install as administrator ? - maybe that is one of the gotchas (but I was sure past threads said 3.5 had problems on Vista - Slinky may remember)

Both Rescan 3.5 and Rescan 3.7 work fine for me with both Vista x86 and Vista x64.Goofproof wrote:Odd's are you computer has Vista 64 bit installed ResScan is a 32 bit program.

Re: Computer Upgrade ResScan no longer works
Got the 3.7 upgrade. That did the trick.
3.5 I had just would not install.
It would come up with a dialog saying it was for windows 2000, XP, NT 4.0 and maybe something else. But not vista.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
I am all set now to make up my reports for my Doc visit this Thursday.

I can see that some others appear to be lucky with their installs but your experience confirmed what I had come accross.
