Encore Pro Data
Encore Pro Data
I have just received my card reader and software, encore pro 1.8. My question is, how do I analyze the data? I'm new to this forum and to CPAP. I know some other types of forums have what is known as a "sticky" which is post that stays at the top of the forums. I think it would be a good idea to do something like this that explains how to read and analyze the data given as it seems most everyone is reading their on data now.

Just bumping this post... I'll be getting the software and reader for the same kind of card soon, hope someone can lead us to an answer!
Re: Encore Pro Data
If you are truly using the machine you have listed in your profile, save your money, it gives no useful data, just hours used. Jimstacia123 wrote:Just bumping this post... I'll be getting the software and reader for the same kind of card soon, hope someone can lead us to an answer!
The help file in Encore Pro explains a lot of what the readings mean, also I use the daily graphs, a vertical line through them shows you what took place and when, them you figure out why. (Usually excessive leaks, or to low a pressure)
Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

Jcochran,
You'll find a number of posts about reading data from Encore Pro data on this forum.
I'd do a search on google with the following string:
"Encore Pro" reports site:cpaptalk.com
Also, when you get your software, you can post example reports and any number of willing members will help you figure it out.
@stacia123, goofproof is right - the software won't be worthwhile for the M-Series Plus. It needs to be an Auto or Pro. However, I think I remember you saying something about you actually having the Pro. If so, it would be great if you could fix that in your profile.

Re: Encore Pro Data
Okay, someone needs to explain what the heck the profile machines are, then, because yours is the second comment like that I've gotten. I have an Remstar Pro M w with C-Flex and a Smart Card by Encore. So the profile choice of "Machine: M Series Plus C-Flex CPAP Machine with SmartCard Module" is incorrect then? Which one should I use?Goofproof wrote:If you are truly using the machine you have listed in your profile, save your money, it gives no useful data, just hours used.
The machine doesn't give me just hours, and the card can be read for actual data, the DME did it for me last week. Wouldn't an Encore Pro reader and scanner be what I need?
Re: Encore Pro Data
I think the reference to you was an error. JCochran was the originator of this post, and he has a Remstar Plus, for which the above comment applies.stacia123 wrote:Okay, someone needs to explain what the heck the profile machines are, then, because yours is the second comment like that I've gotten.Goofproof wrote:If you are truly using the machine you have listed in your profile, save your money, it gives no useful data, just hours used.
Edit--Whoops. Never Mind

Re: Encore Pro Data
Your Profile is the list of equiptment you use, under your post you are showing the "M"eries PLUS CPAP machine with the Icon, that's the cause of the confusion, the PLUS gives no useful data. The Pro will but it's not what's listed in your profile. It can be changed correctly at the top of the page. under control panel. Re: Encore Pro Data
According to Respironics website, there is a RemStar Auto, Plus, and a Pro. The Plus is the only one that gives you basic compliance data. My profile has listed as a Remstar Auto, which should pull valuable data when using the encore pro software. Am I correct in this GoofProof?

Re: Encore Pro Data
Yours is the correct machine, but your profile is shown as Icon Only, Text is a much better option as all the pictures look the same. Most people don't waste time clicking on your Icon to see where it goes, wastes too much time, when it can easily be done right. I am downloading all the time, so even with DSL, if feels like Dial-up.Jcochran wrote:According to Respironics website, there is a RemStar Auto, Plus, and a Pro. My comment was in re-guard to "stacia123" Post, the machine he has showing is a Plus, if so the software would be useless to him. Jim

Re: Encore Pro Data
I've just gotten 2 comments about the machine in the profile before and I'm frustrated because the last machine in the list is the M Series Plus C-Flex machine, there is no Pro listed. I'm having technical issues I guess.Goofproof wrote:under your post you are showing the "M"eries PLUS CPAP machine with the Icon, that's the cause of the confusion, the PLUS gives no useful data. EDIT: Grr, I just remembered that when there's a technical problem, the problem is Firefox. The rest of the list of machines popped up just fine in IE. I hope I have the right one now.
