Check out these numbers-What's Up ??

Post by grumpygirl » Wed Oct 22, 2008 5:29 pm

This morning when I checked my data I had the most unusual numbers I have ever had since starting this therapy almost a year ago. My pressure is 11.6, my leak rate was .16, my AHI was 0.8, my AI was 0.0, my HI was 0.8 !! I feel horrible today, so tired and just dragging around like a zombie. What's up with this??? I don't recall doing anything different last night , I taped my mouth as usual and everything was set as normal.

I tried to read thru some of your prior posts before asking, but didn't get thru them all. If your cpap treatment is working, maybe there's something else going on with you. Has the subject of limb movements already been discussed? I did see someone asked about adrenal fatigue. Has your doctor run blood tests to rule out other possible causes of fatigue?

What pressure range is your machine set to?
Those are good numbers, but if your minimum pressure is too low and the pressure changes are fragmenting your sleep, that could be a clue as to why you're not feeling rested.

aa-hah! welcome to my hell too. Low AHI, somtimes even 0, still feel like sleep is fragmented.

Besides checking for other health issues as others suggested, for example GERD, or limb movements.. I can only suggest trying straight CPAP and maybe bumping up your pressure a notch or two and see how that goes.

Was it only one day that you're feeling bad, or has it been going on a while?
Good luck!!!

Your numbers are excellent, gg, but your tiredness could be something as simple as fighting off or coming down with a cold. Even the highest quality sleep doesn't guarantee that some stray germ won't knock you off your feet. You might consider looking for more complex causes of your exhaustion if it continues for a week or so with no other symptoms.
