You'd have to turn on A-flex (instead of C-flex) in the "Setup" menu of your machine.

To go into the Setup menu of the Respironics REMstar Auto|Aflex M series machine:

1. Unplug the machine at the back.

2. Lift the little lid on top of the machine.

3. Press both the right/left arrow buttons and keep holding both arrow buttons down together while you plug the machine in again. Continue holding those two buttons down after you plug it in. You'll hear two beeps. Keep holding those right/left arrow buttons down. You'll hear a single beep. (Or just count off ten seconds from the time you plugged it in while holding the two arrow buttons.) The setup menu is unlocked now.

4. You'll see the word "Setup" in the lower right corner of the little window on the machine.
Press the " + " button under the word "Setup." That opens the therapy setup menu.

At this point, I'd STRONGLY suggest that you do NOT make any changes to the settings yet. Get a pencil and paper. You might want to get a magnifying glass, too!! Go through the entire menu, writing down every word, every symbol, and every number you see in the window for each menu item. That way you'll have a record of the original settings if you change something later and then decide you want to go back to the original settings.

5. To go through the menu, use the right/left arrow buttons as if they were forward/backward keys.

6. To make a change in a setting, use the plus and minus buttons as if they were up/down keys.
Any changes you make are automatically saved when you exit from the menu.

Very Important: If you come to a setting that says "Split Night Time" (the options for it are "off 120 180 240") ALWAYS keep that setting turned OFF.

7. To exit the menu, briefly press the middle button (with the circle symbol on it) that would normally start the motor blowing.

If you'll PM me your email address, I'll be glad to send you the Provider manual, and the "Quick Setup Guide" for your Auto with A-flex. As Willie said, you'll need to be a registered member (that's free) of this message board before you can send PMs (Private Messages.)
