Ive never cleaned my mask daily, it and the headgear and hose are washed in warm water with mild detergent about every 2 weeks, no problems at all

masks should be checked for any black mold as this produces spores, that you dont want to be breathing in

what I would do is turn it on and drop it about 6 inches to the floor, the shock can unjam electronic things

sometimes if you lie on side one nostril will stay clear

washing out nostrils and sinuses with nettipot and warm salt water is a popular long term cure for mucus

re the mask rash all new masks and headgear need to be soaked and gently washed in warm ( not hot) water with mild detergent to remove chemicals that can cause a skin rash, rinse in cold water and dry do keep using CPAP, seriously it will cause you to live longer welcome back the only way to guarant...

re new mask
when all else fails, read the instructions
some masks can be put on backwards or upside down

I was also tested for narcolepsy by my sleep doc but it turned out that I didnt have it

the benefits take a while to become obvious is it giving the correct pressure or stuck on the lower ramp pressure, if you have any type of nose only mask, your lips must stay sealed for any CPAP benefits, some tape the lips as a chinstrap seldom is effective. make sure the air outlet at base of mask...

your lips must stay sealed to prevent mouth breathing with your mask, mouth breathing stops all CPAP benefits and causes a dry mouth and tongue with correct CPAP use the benefits can take a while to becoma obvious, anyhow your heart will thank you for continuing to use your CPAP correctly to be blun...

welcome your delay isnt unusual all new masks and headgear need to be soaked in warm (not hot) water with mild detergent to remove chemicals from manufacturing process, then rinsed and dried with FF mask you need the humidifier working, be sure water level drops during sleep 2 hours sleep is better ...

when experimenting with tension of straps, keep pulling mask slightly away from face to check for uniform tension, remember new elastic stretches so this will need to be compensated for
adjust the part that presses against forehead for the angle

many masks have an adjustable piece that presses against the forehead and this allows for mens and womens forehead shape

it often helps to wear mask high up on face with straps only just tight enough

welcome fear of looking unatractive in bed is common, also fear of children or relatives laughing at CPAP wearer is common with childrens CPAP masks, some spaceman type decorations were available overall CPAP mask designers should make the masks look more attractive I have to wear mine on long flights
