I have 1 too
the angle of the part that pushes against forehead needs adjusting

it also halps to pull mask slightly away from face and let straps pull it back onto face

your mask allows mouth breathing so this will dry out throat and mouth regardless of humidifier and stop all CPAP benefits

try taping lips, a chinstrap wont stop the lips parting, you may need a full face mask

mouth breathing is a common problem for new CPAP users

you are doing well, remember you can sleep anyway so do get comfortable in bed, it also helps to have daytime naps using CPAP while you make up your sleep debt

we have drifted off topic you need to remove pulg from powerpoint/outlet to protect whatever if I had a battery back up I would use it during storms we seldom lose power here, but when we did once and I was soundly asleep with my nose only mask, I eventually woke due to the extra effort needed to br...

with a full face mask its possible to
open wide
in sleep, so stopping all CPAP benefits, the mask wont be working properly when you wake

a tight chinstrap keeps jaw closed

I dont know it but the olderrespironics masks had small clip holders that soon broke, releasing the mask eventually after too much delay these clips were made much stronger and no longer break the change happened about 2 years ago in general avoid old stock respironic masks with the old weak cliphol...

with a full face mask and a humidifier, mouth breathing doesnt matter, but its always best to nose breathe both when awake and asleep

the users handbook should be supplied by maker or agent the pressure setting is usually hidden from user but mostly can be found by googling the male and model, with adjust pressure setting the clinicians manual may be on the net also but would be technical and not easy to understand, google for it ...

a nasal pillows type mask and taping lips to prevent mouth breathing wouldnt put pressure on teeth or jaw
