Excited about new machine -- nothing important.

Got my new Respironics System One Series 60 auto. It came with a heated humidifier and I got the heated hose -- not sure why, but well, I did. No need for humidifier and it's turned off. But, downloaded the data via bluetooth to Dreammapper. After 10:12 hours, mask fit of 100% and AHI of 1.1. My old...

Is it possible your memory card is bad (or full)?

Re: Any Recommendations?

If you only need 8cm, why is your bottom at 10.5cm? Also, you do know you can adjust the settings yourself, right? Of course, not recommended... blah, blah, blah. Masks are different for everyone. I can't sleep on my back, so I can't help you there. I do sleep on my side and I really like the Sleepwe...

Repironics System One Auto - can it titrate?

It appears from the documentation that I can set min and max and set it into a-trial mode and after 30 hours, it will set to the 90% mark automatically. Is this realistic? Yeah, I know, no gizmos attached to my skull and body to read different stuff, but it seems like it might be a reasonable soluti...

Re: cpap.com black friday sale.

The BF deals are marked with BF logos on them. The BLACK17 code is for free shipping, which most everything has anyway once you reach $100 or so. I'm not sure what you really missed out on. However, I'm sure if you contact them, they'll work with you.

cpap.com black friday sale.

Check their site, lots of stuff on sale. My sleepweaver Anew (which is always $99 or more) is now 79.20. THANKS17 (or TREAT17 I'm bad with codes) gets you another 15% off. 6 masks for under 400 shipped. Yeah baby! Why 6? FSA money I have to burn before the end of the year.

Re: Extreme flatulence every morning since CPAP

Oh, you have seen nothing yet. Cpaps are flatulence finders. While guys tend to take pride in letting one rip, the cpap machine literally gives you your own private dutch oven. I don't care where the machine is, in relation to your exhalation orifice, it will seemingly run a tube directly from your ...

Need instructions for changing settings on Remstar m-series

I know at some point years ago, someone provided instructions on how to get into the DME settings to set pressure, etc. Also, I'm getting a new Remstar System 60 auto, so if anyone has the instructions for that as well, I'd be most appreciative.

Re: Craigslist

Yes - I bought my current machine last spring. Shipped directly from the manufacturer. No RX needed. Perfect. I find it highly unlikely that any cpap manufacturer sells their prescription only machines directly to the consumer without rx, in flagrant violation of law. I bought it from a dealer I fo...

Re: $349 for a DS560 AUTO with heated humidifier

I didn't think they could match that price and couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I ordered it from DHM. Of course, cpap.com still would have gotten it here faster, waiting until Monday to order it, but oh well. On a side note, Cpap.com did call me Tues evening, but again, was already too late. I'...

Re: respironics remstar servicing required

First thing to note is how much a new machine will cost. From Respironics, I suspect it will be EXPENSIVE. You can find a suitable replacement for $400 (although you'll have to program it yourself). I posted such a deal recently on here.

Re: Child protection accused of rushing to judgment

I don't know how to reply to this. On one hand, CPS is there to investigate claims and serves a very valuable purpose. On the other hand, where is the line drawn? I mean, they had a doctor state that there was abuse, so they had to act quickly in the best interest of the child. Should it have taken ...

$349 for a DS560 AUTO with heated humidifier

Normally, I like to use cpap.com. However, I ordered the DS560 without the humidifier and got an "item is backordered" email. So, knowing that they're probably discontinued in favor of the newer models, I went searching. I found http://www.directhomemedical.com/pr-systemone-remstar-auto-ds560-philip...

Re: Side sleeper+Full face mask suggestions

Check out the Sleepweaver Anew. On cpap.com, it's $100 and comes with free return insurance, so if you don't like it, you're not out much (perhaps shipping it back). It's cloth, so I find that sleeping on my side works well with it. My face on the pillow can seal up one side well and the other side ...

Re: How Did I Revert to a Mouth-Breather?

I've never tried their nasal mask as I'm a FFM guy. However, the only "hard" parts on my FFM are the clip holders for the quick-connect straps and the actual port and associated hardware. As stated previously, the exhale ports are small and make almost no noise. I'm not sure how to have a vent point...
