Failure without tape and chinstrap
Well, It's been a year since diagnosis and I thought I would try to give up the tape and chinstrap for just one night while using my wonderful swift LT. BIG MISTAKE. Had a very bad night with tremendous leaks throughout and a very dry mouth. I thought I would have perhaps trained myself over the las...

Re: Airport Security
Hi,
When flying from Toronto to Florida, I brought my cpap prescription (copy) along with about a litre of distilled water...no problem bringing the water on the plane as a carry on either...it was packed with the machine.

Re: AutoPAP, Activa, UMFF and Mouth Taping
Velbor,
Tremendous work..thanks for providing such interesting data...I think I'll not use tape or chinstrap tonight and see what happens. It's been quite a while since I've done this and am hoping that I've somewhat trained myself to keep my mouth shut and limit lip flutters since my last go!

Re: Lose ground if I take a night off?
I'm a newbie and have only been able to use my machine a few hours a night. I'm not sleeping well with it. If I take a night off (to catch up on sleep) will my body be starting from square one again as far as trying to get accustomed to it? I'm waiting for a chinstrap to come in, and my therapy isn...

Re: Hello, first time poster here
Sorry folks,
This time I must correct the lot of you. From my experience in Financial Planning along with the hours of calculations I've just completed, it looks like the answer should fall somewhere between 135 and 148. If someone can prove me wrong, please be my guest.

Re: Swollen Uvula
From my understanding, this type of surgery generally has nothing to do with the uvula. I would think the swelling is in fact related to the surgery and should certainly go down over time. I wouldn't think the Doc would say that if he didn't mean it. I wouldn't worry, just give it time. Congrats on ...

Re: ALERT - watch out for people listing cpaps as bilevels
I've seen this before...it may have been intentional or unintentional. In the past, I've let cpap auction know and they've relisted the item in the appropriate area.

Those that have been with this forum for quite some time realize why we're all here. "Guest" did not pop up in order to truly help but rather to provoke. If anyone takes some decent time to read through some of the stickies and various helpful unbiased threads, it's not to difficult to see where and...

Re: Adjust your own pressure?
For the folks that adjust their own pressures - Do you prescribe your own medications and freely change your dosing, as well? Why would CPAP be any different? It's still a prescribed setting. Everyone adjusts to CPAP differently, and requires a unique setting. You're physicians should be ashamed of...
