Until I read it here some time back I hadn't realized I wasn't dreaming, and I didn't until I got my APAP a few weeks ago. Then a few dreams went by and I was waking refreshed. Now I wake worn out and my mind feels like a megaplex. My dreams are getting more real feeling which is affecting me also. ...

Tangents.. Same here with the extension cord. My first trip with CPAP was an ah-ha. A 10' sits waiting in my bag and not only powers the CPAP but recharges both phones. BTW, I get by with 10' but wish it were 12' to dress it out of the way better.

June 7-12, 2008, at the Baltimore Convention Center. http://www.sleepmeeting.org/ Pur Sleep has a booth as do most major vendors. They may introduce new products but I wouldn't expect anything in the aromatherapy arena.

Re: CPAP and hot weather

This is my first summer with the CPAP. We have had a heatwave in CA, it's miserable at night. Any tips for coping with using a CPAP when it is hot at night? Please take this in a pure sense, but I found the less clothing I sleep in the more heat I can tolerate. Our ceiling fan stays set to push air...

Finally remembered to try it last night, OldLincoln. I still had mask problems, though, so I'm thinking maybe it's a sweat problem rather than oil problem. Don't imagine there is much to be done about the sweating in the mask thing, though. If you have tips for that, too, I'd love to hear them! Jee...

I'm pretty sure washing the mask in the AM is ok. The face needs to be right before bed. I do them at the same time simply because it's convenient for my routine.

How did your foamy shampoo work for you?

Well, I musta been feeling frisky when I wrote my last msg. Don't know what I was thinking (what's the icon for V8 forehead slap?). Must be the sleep I've had recently. Oh, well.

>>You can not in anyway compare one brand of straight CPAP to another brand's autoPAP. That is comparing apples to oranges.<< You're right about comparing. My DME who tried to be graceful about the trade, made it clear she doesn't agree with my choices. She said I was going from a Roll Royce (ResMed...

You have written a nice story and I am happy for you OldLincoln. Maybe now you feel like NewLexus. I am confused about what you think the cause of your improvement is. Do you think it is because you are using apap instead of cpap? Or is it the Flex relief? Please add to the story the details of you...

Switched from CPAP to APAP (long post)

This may sound like an echo in the room, but I've told everybody I know well enough except all of you! I went from a ResMed Escape to a Respironics M Auto with A-Flex. In a nutshell it's like the old saying about banging your head on the wall - it feels so good when you stop! 1. My main complaint wa...

Peggy, Sorry about the out of network thing. I deal with that too with doctors, labs, etc saying "we take all insurance" when asked if they are contracted with my insurance. We've learned to ask specifically if they are contracted in-network providers and if they aren't listed on the insurance site,...

Man, with numbers like that you should spend a few days in a diving bell! I'm glad you got it down to 17 which is still high. My wife comes from a family history of that and the older ones are blind in one eye and just can't see out the other. They caught hers early on but still has 2 kinds of drops...

Depends on the arrhythmia. I used to have some where my heart was jumping around so much it moved the skin and you could see it and it felt really weird. Years later it was tremors and the extra beat countered the push of blood out of the heart and made me weak and sometimes a bit nauseous. Atenolol...

I've had the cushion leaks because of my very oily skin. I've figured out a routine that helps a lot. I got one of those foamy soap dispensers and figured out they dilute the soap way down and with the foam you use even less. Once empty, I put about 2" of shampoo and filled with water. Now I get a d...
