I don't understand... If Blue Cross told you that they pay a single fee to a DME and that the DME can charge you more if you want a "luxury" model if they want... Why don't you believe them? I think it's pretty clear, you have several options.. You take a straight CPAP.. you shop around for a DME th...

If there is water or ice in the container and it's connected to the CPAP, etc... you will get some humidity added even with the heater turned off... The heater is mostly their to make it so MORE moisture gets into the air, not to warm you up at night... Presumably higher temperature water allows thi...

Looks like it's just going to confuse things. I can see someone denying you permission to board a flight because you don't have any batteries... even though you may have no intention of using the CPAP during the flight, but do want to bring the CPAP with you as carry on... I think it would really me...

I had a VS of 118 last night... my AHI was under 2 (as it always is)... In my case... vibratory snores have almost no impact on my AHI... I'm running straight 8CM, I perhaps could do better with snores at higher pressure, but then I tend to get air in my stomach and all the unplesantness that comes ...

I agree with rooster... 'mission accomplished' is probably not... But then it does seem like SleepIsHell does seem as if he's made significant progress... After reading more and more on the subject of CPAP and getting used to it, etc... leads me to conclude that titration in a clinic is not always t...

My understanding is that Auto PAP is largely intended for comfort... The idea being that it has lower pressures for times when you don't need high pressure and then it will raise the pressure if/when you do need it. I myself really wanted a Auto PAP badly the first week or so I had CPAP because it w...

apnea events are based on seeing a decreased flow that is some percentage of the average... It seems that maybe your leak was preventing the machine from ever seeing a decrease in flow large enough to show it as a apnea... Not sure I would blame the machine for not detecting apneas when your mask wa...

I'm a technical guy, I troubleshoot stuff for a living... Auto PAP seems like it would be really hard to troubleshoot... When I try and diagnose problems in my work, I like to eliminate as many variables as possible... I don't know exactly why they prescribe auto PAP, presumably for comfort. Anyway....

It took me a week before I felt OK in the morning... I kept my gear on at least 7 hours each of the first 7 days, woke up feeling BAD... headache... really tired, groggy most of the day. I was waking up every hour or two hours those first 7 nights... Gradually it went from waking 6 times a night to ...

All I've got is straight CPAP... Some of my best (lowest) AHI come on worst nights for vibratory snore numbers... If I'm understanding you guys correctly the auto machines in crease pressure when they detect snoring? While watching my data from my REMstar pro... I don't see any relationship to apnea...

I've only had my CPAP for about 19 days... however, I have similar issues... Not as bad now as it was the first week I used CPAP. I have from time to time had problems like this before CPAP however... Generally past neck problems have been due to not having my pillow just right. I figure that my nec...

Perhaps this varies from one device to another? I have the M-Series Pro and see no signs of Time in Apnea or Average Apnea duration. I have Average time in Apnea per day and Average API per day... and it seems if I select a single day, the Average per day number is zero... I'd like to see each event...

So... can anyone measure the current consumption of the new DC humidifier... the only reason I would have any interest in one would be for when I was away from power... and knowing how much current it will consume would help in determining just how big of a battery it would take to use this new humi...
