Just prescribed a CPAP
Just prescribed a CPAP
I have just begun using a CPAP and am curious how long it will be before I should expect to see a benefit from its use?

Benefit of a cpap
foobar0,
That answer varies and depends on the person. Some people find huge relief the night of their sleep study, others take any amount of time to get relief. Think of it along these lines. You have gone for however long in your life getting bad sleep, never fully recharging yourself with the full restful sleep you need. Now, not only are you getting that restfull sleep but your body is having to learn or adapt to the new level of rest. I have heard it take a person a month before they felt a huge noticeable difference.
Now I say all this, assuming you are having success with your mask and machine working well. If not, then let us know and we can discuss that. Otherwise, keep on trying and don't give up, you will feel lots better. So much it will change your life.
