Post by rock and roll » Wed Jun 01, 2005 10:08 pm

OK Lady's and Gentlemen (and everyone else), it would seem LDuyer is about to obtain membership in the infamous over 1,000 club

Hi rock and roll,

How long do you think LDuyer can stay at 999? Any bets?

In actual fact - and I have carefully counted this - she is already well over 1000. There was a time, before coming out of the closet and gaining new confidence, that she actually posted as "Guest" for fear of retribution and creating an ugly backlash on the forum.

Truth is, her postings as "Guest" were far more meaningful and astute than any she made as LDuyer. There were 48 of these and she is still kicking herself for sticking to her anonymity thus not getting the credit she deserves.

Now that we let her out of the closet, do you think there is any chance we can get her back in there? To improve the quality of her posts I mean!

If she made it without me looking. I'm sure she this will egg her on but the only question is - "as who".

Hey, hey, hey ....... I resemble those remarks!!
So I'm better when I go incognito, eh? I don't know whether to be honored by that notion or to reach in and rip your teeth out! I mean, what kind of compliment is that? It reminds me of the joke my father always liked to say, "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

Hahaha!

Bob F never ceases to make me laugh!

(Do you think I can be Troublesome Guest and keep my record at 1000?)

I think condolences is probably more appropriate. Good call.
It's not normal to be on this forum so long, I think. The people I envy are the ones who don't need the forum any longer and are off leading internet-free lives. Oh well.

BTW, I like it when you call me Lin. A favorite mother of an ex boyfriend liked me and used to call me that, and spell it that way. I never wanted to be a Lynn, but I always liked Lin, not sure why. Perhaps it was her dubbing me this. I miss that woman. So thanks.

I like your charming photo, even if it is a few years younger than you. Lot of friendly-looking folks here.

Well... if that's true, I sure am glad you're not normal... nor the other wonderful people you mentioned in your address to the nation, er, I mean academy award speach.

People who need people... even if the people they need are on the net.
Rarely a day passes when I don't find myself touched, sometimes almost to tears, by the caring an generosity of members of this forum.
I'm glad you one of them.
