Has anyone used this and, if so, what are your recommendations? Thanks!

I liked the small nasal mask part but the hard plastic headgear is awful. You feel like you are wearing a football helmet and it tends to move around unless you have it on very very tight.

Good luck!

Comfortlite

Paul, thanks for the info. I guess that won't be what I'll be ordering. Do you have any suggestions as to a good mask? I was considering the Oracle as per a friend's suggestion, but she only used it for a short time since she didn't need it but for surgery. What do you use and are you happy with your choice? I am so confused!!!

Comfort-Lite

Post by WillSucceed » Tue May 31, 2005 1:37 pm

I've been using the Comfort-Lite since Oct. 2004. It does take a bit of getting used to regarding the headgear BUT, it has multiple adjustment points so that you can get the fit exact and, it seal (for me) exceptionally well. I also use a Breeze, Swift and an Activa. I have tried the Aura as well.

Overall, the Comfort-Lite is very light weight adjusts easily and is remarkable stable. I toss and turn alot -->this mask stays in place and, when I check the data analysis software, I have a consistently low leak (better than I get with the other masks) with the Comfort-Lite.

I'm planning to buy another one when this one wears out.

So you don't feel like the headgear is a football helmet, like Paul described it as? This is such a personal thing to so many people. It's amazing how ten people can use the same thing and you can get ten different opinions on it. I am so confused!!! Thanks for your input, though. I will definitely keep it in mind.

Don't much care for the comfort lite either. Football helmet is a good analogy. Once I get on my side, the thing shifts out of place. Also the connector to the hose is stiff and doesn't move well, causing the hose to pull the mask as well.

I have the Comfortlite also and find it very comfortable to use. The head gear is not invasive at all and is very stable for me. I am a restless side sleeper and it works very well for me. I would not hesitate to purchase again if necessary. I alternate it with my Breeze and Aura. One mask to say away from IMO is the Comfort Curve or should I say Comfort Sieve since it leaks like pouring "p*** out of a boot!"
