If the pantyliner idea does not appeal to you, I use moleskin. Removing the face pads and replacing them with a thin layer of moleskin makes this mask snug right up to my face and it fits pretty well now. I have the best luck sleeping on my side, as I can lay my head on the pillow and then inch it f...

Thanks -- this forum is always so helpful. I use a Remstar Pro 2 with heated humidifer and the dreaded comfort curve with the smallest size interface. I have fairly low pressure to start with -- it starts at 4 and ramps up to 8. I will pull my card out of the Remstar and take it to the DME to get it...

For years I have woken up several times a week with what I could only describe as panic attacks. I would be disoriented and believed I was dying. My heart would be racing and I would be sweating. Often I sat up in bed or even leapt out of bed and raced across the room. I usually would have dreamed I...

If you go back to the threads from around May and June, there are alot of postings about making the comfort curve fit. Of course it isn't for everyone, but people were pretty creative about making this thing work.

changes in CPAP pressure

Hi, Can anyone tell me how I will know if I the CPAP pressure is too high? I've managed to lose about 20 pounds in the past five weeks and anticipate that I will lose a good deal more (Weight Watchers core program). How will I know, short of an expensive trip into the sleep clinic, if the pressure s...

There was an interesting article in this month's AARP magazine (which I am WAY too young to read but my OLD husband just started getting) that reviews a study published in the research journal of the American Medical Society. In the study, the researchers were looking for how weight effects the deat...

Thanks for the help. I was actually able to resolve the problem eventually last night by the time honored method of shutting down my computer and restarting. It was a fun chat. But I am also going to make sure that I have the most up-to-date flash player and yes, it is an old machine by computer sta...

Live chat frustration

I was trying to participate in the live chat and kept getting a computer message that said, "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Script player to run slowly. It it continues to run, your computer will become nonresponsive." Then my computer became nonresponsive, meaning that I could not pos...

Hey Ahujudybear, I totally agree that so much of this is a state of mind. Confidence is a wonderful aphrodisiac. I LOVE your story of the red thong women. As Snamvar indicates, loving ourselves is powerful. I always thought the comfort curve designer colors were stupid, but now I'm thinking that may...

DMEs get a bad rap here and I am sure that many deserve it. However, my DME is a saint and has made an enormous difference in my ability to make this therapy work for me. I've worked every step of the way with the same person, a man who is enormously knowledgeable and caring. He has answered every q...

If your alternative works for you, of course go with it. Its just that I find it hard to imagine that you can't find mole skin in Ottawa. I don't know what the local Ottawa drug store chain is that is the equivilent of Walgreens, Longs, CVS, Osco, or whatver. Moleskin is made by Dr. Sholls (sp?) and...

Dear Guen, I am so deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your child. As a mother, I cannot imagine anything more devastating. You and your husband are in a very complicated situation. Even without the story of your son and your new daughter, I can easily imagine how vulnerable your husband feels wi...

Like Mikesus, the CC has become my mask. I have been wearing it nightly for probably about a month now and am logging about 7 - 8 hours of sleep every night. For the first time in 20 years, I fall asleep and sleep all night without waking up. I feel deeply rested. But I also had to do a bunch of ada...
