Definitely grease. I only use the humidifier as a passover, no heat. I have more acne lately too. In fact two acnes developed on the bridge of my nose where the mask sits. I've had to tighten that headgear so much that my teeth hurt. Any looser and it leaks. It's crazy.

I did the teflon tape a long time ago. I even took it apart and re-did it just to be sure it was all fresh and not worn down from movement of the elbow. I think it's just my greasy skin. It's been tons more oily lately and doesnt matter if I wash my face before bed, it's dripping in grease again a c...

Mask leaking for no reason?
Do you all have any idea why my mask would suddenly be leaking alot? I got the cushion replaced but it hasn't helped much. I don't get it.

mask cushion will not stick?
Do these just plain wear out eventually? I've had it a couple months and it just will not stick to my face anymore. I do wash it everyday and wash my face too. I use castile soap on it and my face. Do I just need to get it replaced now?

I'm also bipolar, which has been shown to cause brain damage in the areas of memory, particularly short-term memory. Whomever told you this is feeding you lies. Bipolar has not even been shown to exist as a biological disease in its own right let alone one that causes brain damage. Sleep deprivatio...

I haven't used or even plugged this stinky/used one in, I just sniffed the back (inlet area) and almost fainted from the rotten funk! Yeah that is one problem with getting a used machine. The used one I got reeked of perfume. I replaced the filers and wiped the inlet area with an alcohol pad, which...

I'm sure several people will answer your questions, but I will just say right quick that it's not asthma. Exhaling against any pressure takes some getting used to. I have asthma too and actually I think the CPAP helps that because I'm breathing filtered air all night. I did have an asthma attack my ...

Try just putting the water in the chamber but don't turn on the heat. I can't tolerate any heated humidity right now either or I get nasal congestion. I also agree with the others that this has so far been an exceptionally bad year for pollen and people who normally wouldn't have any symptoms (or mi...

Oh yes, I've been on every antihistimine known to man. Both singulair and zytec are completely useless. Some antihistimines I've tried actually made the dry eye worse. The unfortunate thing is that there really aren't that many truly different antihistimines on the market. When a pharmaceutical gian...

Update on my dry eye/CPAP situation
Hi everyone. I had punctal plugs put in all 4 of my tear ducts. Unfortunately, that caused my eyes to water all day long and they became very irritated as did the skin around them, so I had the doctor take them back out. At that time he gave me a trial of a new eye lubricating product called Lacrise...

He/she was probably talking about the fact that they are highly viscous. The celluvisc tears are as well. They have the same active ingredient See for yourself: http://tinyurl.com/6e35zq http://tinyurl.com/65dsaa According to this page (link below), they are actually far more viscous than the liquig...

I was mad I saw one on the auction site for $10 and I wasn't paying enough attention and got outbid. There's one on there now for $45, but I was a bit miffed the person put it up for auction at $40 then when the other one sold for so low a price $10.50, they raised the price to $45. How annoying. We...
