Coverage of Sleep Apnea Treatment by Medicare and Medicaid

Post by Pad A Cheek » Fri Feb 29, 2008 5:51 am

In my research I found this memo from December of 2007.
Some of you may already know about this, but I thought it was a good piece worthy of passing on to the forum...

https://www.cms.hhs.gov/mcd/viewdraftde ... asp&id=204&

It is long, but explains insurance coverage of the Sleep Studies and CPAPs.

I hope this helps someone who wonders about this sort of thing.

Karen

Wading through the verbiage

When it comes down to the end, it seems that what it is saying is the Medicare is going to support < and pay for > home testing for patients who meet the criteria etc. etc.

Geesh trying to read that will make your eyes cross.
