Encore pro software difficulty

Post by eugene » Mon May 16, 2005 8:57 pm

From what I have seen here it appears that the Encore pro software is not easy to download or interpret. Is this true? Is it too complicated for a regular computer user?

santacruz, if it were difficult, I couldn't do it. The results from Encore Pro software are quite easy to understand each morning.

Yes, I'm the only one that had difficulty, and I've traced it down to a possible Virus attack that was allowed in by the SQL server setup process during the install.

I reinstalled on a less critical maching on my network, but took it offline first and everything installed and ran fine.

Now I'm just living with the limitations of the software. I had a couple exchanges with respironics support today on it. Apparently if you have multiple downloads over a week, encore does not have a provision for combining those downloads into a single data file. Encore integrates the seperate data files for the compliance view, but the more interesting detailed Interaction Report cannot combine data from multiple downloads. Sad since it would be so much more useful.

This software truly is designed for a technician in a sleep clinic that collects data from patients on a monthly or quarterly basis.

I Wanna Sleep: Try using dereks My Encore. Its a program he developed. It may have what you want. I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting you test it out.

Thanks, good suggestion loonlvr. I have been following that thread, and now I understand what's driving them to do this.

I think I'll wait for his beta testing to complete before giving it a try.
