Re: orofacial exercises for Sleep Apnea
The studies I've seen suggest (don't prove) that for some (not all) people with mild to moderate (not severe) sleep apnea (without co-morbid conditions), the OSA may possibly be somewhat reduced by 30 minutes every day of some oropharyngeal exercises. The main study I'm thinking of had patients sup...

I believe there are about 30,000 deaths by automobile every year and another 60,000 seriously maimed. And some idiots are worrying about CPAP?BlackSpinner wrote:I assume your friend lives in a padded bubble and never goes out? Certainly he should never come near a street, a car might hit him.

Re: Should Trump Drop Out
Trump better know he will be running against Biden by early October.
Clinton's health will force her out soon. She collapsed this morning. She has Binswanger's disease.

Re: OSA and Depression
Hello, Was anyone else diagnosed with and treated for Major Depression prior to discovering that they had sleep apnea? Did these symptoms resolve after CPAP treatment? Thank you. Oh yes, I was in big trouble. My wife encouraged me to switch doctors. I drove over to the suburbs and told the new doc ...

It's an air vent, not a CO2 vent.Julie wrote:CO2 vent
Expired air is about 78% nitrogen, 15% oxygen, 4.5% carbon dioxide and traces of argon and other gases.

Re: Poll On Changes In Energy/Well Being After CPAP
In other words, it's basically meaningless. I guess the OP was looking for something specific, and now he is trying to justify the poll with some lame rationalizations. It's OK to be a newbie and ask naive questions. But he might ought to search for polls on the same subject before starting another...

Re: Recommendations on recording oximeters?
With OSA it is the compromised air flow that causes desats. If the airflow is not compromised, there should be no desats. There's quite a bit of adjustment to be made to using CPAP, and unless this oximeter is critical to your peace of mind, you might be adding a layer of things to deal with that a...

****SHOCKED**** That people with as many posts as the two of you have this badly wrong. I add Never give up never surrender Never give an inch! I like seeing you build your success story. Losing the pounds did leave me a little run down Don't forget your CPAP therapy was not working well during this time. That probably had a lot to do with feeling run down. You are taking in enough nu...

That looks sick. Get your doctor to order an overnight oximetry study with the DMEs equipment. Most DMEs do this free of charge.

Re: Silent Night and UARS?
And with my pallet i find it HILARIOUS that mine is bigger than it's supposed to be and my little sister was born with a cleft pallet. I am suspicious when a doctor says a patient's soft palate is larger than normal. An ENT once surprised me by saying that. Some months later when I saw my hometown ...

I was referring to the huge risk of conducting a sales transaction through a website that isn't specified as a marketplace for CPAP equipment. jargon113 assumed that nfredrick86 would be an honest and decent person who'd honor the agreement of paying the rest of the balance. Now jargon113 is out $1...
