Re: sleeping positions

I have been on straight "ole" cpap for 6 years, have a mask like yours and can sleep in any position, side, right or left, back, or stomach. I have a regular cheapie pillow that I can maneuver any way. No foam pillow.

Re: Big Mistake? Cleaned the hose, how do I get it dry inside?

I wash the hose in the morning, use it at night even though it's not completely dry. No problems for 5 years.

Re: Your experience with the A.W.A.K.E. Group in your area?

There is an AWAKE group 30 miles away from my home in Louisiana. I have been a member for almost 5 years, and have been notified of only one meeting about 2 years ago. That meeting demonstrated the different kinds of masks one can use. I think they have trouble finding someone to head up the group. ...

I used a humidifier because I was given one, but for the past 2 years I haven't had the need to use it. When I went on trips, I wouldn't bring the humidifier, and found that it really made no difference to my sinuses.Sure makes it easier with all of the cleaning etc. I asked a resp. therapist about ...

I have 8850 hours on my cpap, 4 years worth. The only night I was noncompliant was for hurricane Rita, when I had no electricity for one night.
I haven't made arrangements yet for loss of electricity, I suppose I need to.

I have been on cpap for about 4 years, and have only gone one night(Hurricane Rita:no electricity) without it. I have not made provisions for loss of electricity yet. Don't know what I'm waiting for.
I sorta kinda am afraid to sleep without it.

Hi, all, I have never seen a sleep specialist, he did read the report from the sleep lab, and I suppose since I never really ever had problems(aren't I lucky?) I have not had the need to see one. I get calls from the respiratory therapists, I think now, just once a year. I don't think that this doc,...

I live alone, husband deceased, and my sister and I went to CO to put my home there on the market. One day I almost ran into a mountain in the car, when I fell asleep at the wheel. I knew I was tired all the time, but still I didn't think I had sleep apnea. I told my sister that I would see my MD, b...

I have a regular facial mask, and have managed to be able to sleep in any position, back, stomach(my favorite) and sides. And I use a regular pillow, but not a foam one. I use a pillow that is very pliable and I can "fix" the pillow in the way I need it. I just made up my mind that I could do it. 3 ...

I have never seen a sleep doctor either. My internist sees me every 6 months to monitor bp, blood tests, etc.
He never asks me anything about my sleep apnea.
About once a year a respiratory therapist calls me to see if all is ok.
Thats it

Yes, woke up with the hose around my neck once.

Couple of nights ago, the cpap machine fell off the bedside table.
