Newbie Questions...

Post by sleepzzzme » Mon Jan 14, 2008 8:18 pm

I am having my first doctor's appointment this week since getting my CPAP. I have to take my card to the place I got the CPAP machine from to get it read AND THEN ALSO go to the doctor's office. These two places are on opposite ends of town. I'm going to have to do these two trips every time I get checked?
Do I have to bring my machine?
If my settings need to be changed, do I do it? Do I take the machine somewhere?

Thanks for answering - I'm a little overwhelmed and I'm not getting a lot of info from my doctor.

Thank you!

Each Dr. is different. Mine told me to bring my machine for the first post PSG visit, but the DME had one of its own, so I didn't need it there. I figured out from "somewhere" how to change my own settings, but I did talk to my Doc about it at this meeting, and he was cool with me making my own changes, which was nice. Best of luck, and welcome to the forum!!

They can change your settings by programing it in the card. Really not necessary to take the machine in! This is one of ther big complaints about letting patients have the Encore Pro Program. Just as easy to change it by pushing the right buttons but what do I know.

Using the utility at http://www.mycpap.com you copy your SmartCard to disk and Email me the file to UPMCPAP@hotmail.com .

All you need to buy now is just the card reader. You can save the sofware Price about 130$.

If satisfied you could reward me at the same Email.

Is this a "free" service, Sam?
I noticed you're really beatin' the bushes this morning.
So, what happens if you're "incapacitated" and these folks are waiting for their reports?

Thx Den for your concern.

But that is exactly what I am looking for. I need the traffic I am starting a CPAP website.

May be, but like I said in my other post on your separate thread......you may be pushing your limit with the forum administrators......approaching SPAM limits.

I'm just saying....Be careful. It could become annoying for some.....

It has gone beyond my tolerance for spam at this point.... 90% of the threads I have read today have this "offer" from Sam. It is a bit over-zealous and over the top, IMO.
