Anyone use the ComfortCurve Nasal Interface

Post by grumpygirl » Wed Jan 02, 2008 7:33 pm

Does anyone use the ComfortCurve Nasal Interface system? How does it feel and fit??? I am looking for a comfortable mask that does not have straps around the neck. I have nerve problems in my neck and most of these masks have straps that you have to tighten behind the head at the level of the back of the neck. I wonder if this interface seals well and is comfortable while sleeping on back or side. Thanks everyone!!!

Hi GrumpyGirl,

I am a side sleeper tot.

Here is a link to Comfort Curve (under the red question mark)

cpaptalk-faq.php?FCID=4#4

I quite like the CC, but prefer the Swift, especially with the panty hose headgear modification which I have now used successfully for three nights.

The main reason I don't use the CC now is it is incompatible with the Ozzie heated hose which I love.

I found it very comfortable. I found it needed a lot of time initially getting the fitting just right. I also found the sleep tecs knew nothing about it at all so I had to research and find how to wear it and fit it.

I would probably modify it a bit if I go back to it, to stabilise it as I toss and turn a lot.

Good luck in your search.

Di

I love my ComfortCurve. This is my favorite mask!

Here's a link to my review and Rested Gal posted links to all the other ComfortCurve users in it.

I recently purchased the ComfortCurve on cpapauction.com.

The mask looks so comfy and I love the idea behind the nasal delivery system.

I have a full face and the mask will NOT seal for anything. I have tried all three nasal interfaces and not even one will seal.

I have a full face and can not get the headgear comfortable as it digs into my cheeks and believe the way the headgear sits on my face is the reason I can not get a seal.

I would suggest if you purchase this mask to do so with the insurance in case it doesn't fit or from cpapauction.com for a more reasonable cost.

I will probably turn around and relist it on cpapauction.com.

I use the comfortcurve, and I find it to be a comfortable mask, however when you use a higher pressure like say 12cm or more it cant hold a seal without help, unfortunately the modifications needed require a strap around the neck, but if your pressure is low or you want to try the mods here is the link to the mods I have done

Comfort Curve

Post by SusanD » Tue Jan 08, 2008 7:08 pm

I have trouble with claustrophobia and cannot stand the majority of these masks, so when I saw the Comfort Curve I thought it looked GREAT. I could not, ever, get it to stay in place. I would wake up in the middle of the night with it sitting above my nose, under my upper lip, etc. I printed off the guide and adjusted continuously but could not get it to work. I think that it might possibly work if you sleep on your back and not your side. I've had to go back to my Breeze, which actually works very well for me.
