In Memory of Nitro Dan

Post by Pad A Cheek » Mon Dec 03, 2007 5:52 am

Some of you may remember the postings of a friend of mine.

I was talking to Dan's lovely wife, Helen, last night and she told me the sad news that Dan passed away on November 1. He was 49, he would have been 50 on December 16.
His love of life and great spirit will be missed by many.
He would send me inspirational items and sometimes something just to make me smile. I will miss him. He was Cyber Gold.

He would want me to remind you to love one another, life is short.
One thing he sent to me that I have saved and watched over and over was a slide show called A Place Called Earth.

I am giving you a link here to watch in Dan's honor. For those of you who did not get to know him, this may give you a little idea of the man.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amnhwBcMaSU

Thank you Dan,

Karen
I had the wrong video the first time, the one he sent had the Celine Dion song to it.

I remember Dan, Karen. That link is a beautiful way of sharing the wonder of this place we live in, and of the person that sent it to you.

Thank you.

I too remember Dan. He gave me an Adam Circuit mask way back when I first started treatment. I never new he was only a year older than me. He helped me as a CPAP newbie and I am saddened that he is no longer with us … thanks for the link Karen.

Thanks for the posting, Karen. I remember his cyber name. My thoughts and prayers are with Nitro Dan and his family and friends.

This posting leads me to think that there is no CPAP in heaven! No need for it! Although I guess that if someone really wanted it, they could have it.

Karen,
You have no idea how meaningful that slide shows was for me just now based on some things going on right now in my world. From Dan to you to me (us).

So his effect on the world continues.

I was so sorry to hear that sad news.

I remember NitroDan's posts. I was always amazed at how long he had been using cpap, and at what pressure.

Thank you for letting us know, Karen. And for the beautiful link he sent you.

Thank you, Dan, for reminding all of us -- what we have.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about this.

This news made me look back at the first post (or nearly first) he made here. He had mentioned his cpap pressure. His pressure was the same as mine and his words encouraged me to stick with it, letting me know that I would become adjusted to it in time, and he was right. Thanks to his help, I perservered. Thanks to Dan, I didn't give up. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
