Private Message - how to send a PM after reading a post

You're reading a public post on the message board and want to send a private message to just that one person. You don't want your message to appear in that topic or go out in the open to the message board:

1) Look at the bottom of that person's post. Hit the button that says "PM Me!".

2) Before typing your private message, look up above for the words: "Send a new private message".

Also look to see that the Username is the nickname of the person you want to send your private message to.

3) Type something in the Subject box, even if it's just the word "hi", but preferably something a bit more informative, like "Question about the Activa".

4) Type your private message.

5) Before you hit "submit" to send your new private message, always doublecheck by looking up above for these important words in the pale blue bar ... "Send a new private message".

"Send a new private message" means that what you've written and are ready to send will really be sent to just that one person. It won't go out openly to the message board. It will go only to the person whose nickname appears up in the Username box.

6) After you've assured yourself by seeing those magic words, "Send a new private message", hit "Submit" at the bottom to send your private message to the person. Your message will go privately to just that one person. It won't go out to the entire message board.

You don't have to worry about the two little "Disable" boxes at the bottom. Leave them blank. Don't checkmark them. They have nothing to do with whether your message goes out privately to the one person.
